I wanted us to focus on defense but the OT will fill a desperate need at RT. And Penn is 35.

We better focus on defense in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Ecstatic we got WR Bryant from Pitt.

We have some young guys ready for minutes. Sharpe who played for Penn late in the year was freakin good man. Monster size rookie last year, and he will take Penns spot. RT is a little more up in the air. We have some young guys there as well and 11 picks to take care of that spot. We gonna be good dude.
Tried telling you about the OL.

Better hope Keenum doesn't revert to the Keenum that played for the Rams.....LOL.

Better hope that Carr doesn't play like he did last year. If so Raiders could have the worst QB in the AFC West.

Pundits don't like it but we're adding talent to the OL, we've added Key who fell onto our lap at #87. 26.5 sacks in 3 years, he's going to add to our pass rushing attack with Mac and Irvin.

But, we'll probably fill out depth with the remainder of our picks, hopefully on defense.

Raashan Melvin was signed to start at LCB opposite Conley. He's a big and physical player who will play against the big WR's and he has serious upside.

Tahir Whitehead will replace Bowman and he is a solid replacement.

Gilchrist was added as a safety and he should team well with Karl Joseph.

It's not as dark as some experts predict.

We're addressing the OL in the draft to protect him because anybody that knows football (as you claim to do) understands the OL took a step back last season. But, most realize you're just here to troll because I have NEVER seen you say anything positive.

Pretty sure you mocked the Hudson signing and in he was great in his first season here, a huge reason we did as well as we did.

Missed this but we got Nick Nelson in the 4th round with the 110th pick. Coming off an injury but not expected to hold him back. He was ranked 52nd overall in the draft according to PFF.

Was an A pick according to several people.

May not get a lot of PT but in the 7th round we selected Marcell Ateman. He's a big and physical WR who could be Red Zone target one day.

Pretty sure I thought the Hudson signing was a decent one but expensive for a Center. And if you think all I've ever said in here is negative things about the Raiders then guess you haven't really been reading every one of my posts. I've said plenty good but for the most part I've been right on a lot of the things the Raiders have done. I mean seriously they have had 1 winning season in the last 15 years. Can you honestly sit here and say they have done a lot right during that stretch? I've been on this board for now 5 years. The Raiders have had 4 losing seasons during that time with 1 of those seasons only seeing 3 wins and another seeing 4. So I'm sorry that I haven't had a whole lot of good to say about the losing Raiders over the last 5 years. I don't think they have done everything wrong by any means. I praised the Mack pick right after it happened and was ticked he went to the Raiders.

Last year I said the Eddie Vanderdoes pick was a huge steal in the draft. I have said that Karl Joseph was another pick I thought was a good one. Others in the past (this is just draft related so far) I liked the Clive Walford pick and really thought the Ben Heeney pick where the Raiders got him was a steal. Loved just about every pick in the 2014 draft. The 2013 draft I thought the DJ Hayden pick would work out well for you guys. Thougth you got robbed in the trade back but still liked the pick. Sio Moore was another I liked at that time and Stacy McGee.

The draft this weekend there were some picks I liked for the Raiders and others I didn't. Brandon Parker is a nice developmental OT for the Raiders. I also really liked the Nick Nelson, Maurice Hurst, and Marcel Ateman picks for the Raiders. Thought those were great value where they got them. Kolton Miller and PJ Hall were the two big picks I just was scratching my head a bit on at least value wise. Arden Key is about as high risk as it gets in this draft but could turn out ok.

Throw in getting Martavis Bryant for a 3rd round pick was a nice risk move.

Completely agree The Kolton Miller pick made no sense. The Raiders do need Oline. And I'm not saying Miller may not eventually develop into a great Offensive lineman has hit and miss. But you just don't trade back to take a gamble. When You have Vita Vea OTB. Who I think is the clear top DT and a need on the board. Pass on a CB another much more important need. Or hand darwin James who very well may have been the best safety in the draft to the Chargers. Especially with OT being a depth position in the draft.

PJ Hall is another nice project. But with a 2nd rd pick he's a stretch. Also wouldnt have been a need if they stayed put and grabbed Vea or waited on Hurst. Who was a top tier DT before the heart condition news broke. I think he will be fine he played his entire college career with the same condition. But trading back with Joshua Jackson and other corners still OTB for Hall was another bad move. Hell I may have gone RB over Hall at that point. They will have to address an elite RB to replace Lynch at some point soon.

I did like the Key,Hurst and Victor picks although they are all risks. The Nelson pick may have been their best pick. But they could have had a better cb earlier. Ateman may turn out to be a solid pick. But this was far from a solid draft imo. I'm really not sure what they were thinking. But they basically traded back and passed on top tier players in the first two rounds to gain picks. Just to give those extra picks to move up later. And pick players to compensate the need positions they missed on early in the draft. A lot of wasted movement. When they could have picked some elite talent they passed on and filled the other holes they really needed to fill. With the multiple picks they had. Raiders dropped the ball in this draft pretty bad imo

This may have been there best move in the draft. They did pick up Nelson but he is aging. Also where Ateman may be a solid late pick. But looking at their draft. They had early picks in the 1st,2nd, 3rd (which may have been Bryant anyway) and 4th. A later pick in the 5th,4 6th rd picks and a 7th. They really didnt need to trade back to gain picks. And the picks they gained are wasted trading up later. Wasted movement is poor draft management. They could have literally just stood pat and had an impact player like a Vea or James in the 1st. Their top tier corner in Jackson or a future RB like Keryon in the 2nd. Still got their OT or filled another need early in the 4th. And either added a lot of the players they got late. Or added depth and upgraded positions with all the late picks. The first two picks were extremely puzzling. It made no sense to reach. When they could have started the draft with a solid foundation. That gives the team immediate impact. And filled their other needs and built off that foundation. Based on previous drafts it just felt like the Raiders took a step backwards

As much as I hate saying it the Broncos had a great draft. Also a great UDFA signing in Lindsey. He was an extremely versatile and productive RB for the Buffs. I wouldnt be surprised to see him contribute for your broncs being utilized in different roles
