For me this was GOOD because there's no other option. IMO Purdy could've held out for even more AAV, while the guaranteed staysthe same.

He is not considered a "top 5" QB NFL wide but for the 49ers specifically, he's the best.

I dug the deal. I felt Purdy left meat on the bone on purpose, the Niners went higher then they wanted, both sides ultimately got what they were looking for. The cap is going to jump HUGE next year bc of TV deals exploding so this contract is going to be peanuts vs. the cap. Brock is Shanny's dude. They got this done early, missing the drama that Aiyuk, Deebo, Bosa, Trent brought to negotiations. There are outs in the contract. Brock gets his guaranteed $ in the first 3 years. He's still not a top 5 paid QB according to AAV.

I'm GOOD with this deal.
