He is a crappy route runner.
That's it?

Look Dez in the RZ with the aforementioned personal is a pretty daunting task for defenses. The Pats don't and won't struggle getting in the RZ and Dez is very effective in this capacity.

When does was under Romo he was one of the best in the league, if people think Dez was the problem in Dallas they better take a closer look at Dak.

He's also lost a step and doesn't have the work ethic to overcome his decreasing physical skills. He didn't want to take $6M to be the unquestioned #1 in Baltimore in April...I certainly don't think he cares enough about football to take less than that to be an occasional RZ threat here now.

Yeah I don't agree with that a whole lot either. But hell isn't that pretty much what they said about Randy Moss too? If Dez is getting no calls or refusing certain offers it may be because he wants to go somewhere that he has a shot at a SB.

This locker room has been through all this before, Moss, Dillon, Revis all had been designated specific flaws and all performed well once they got here.

Dez wants Watkins money and BB ain't giving that to anyone.

If he'd come in for the vet min. and incentives, he might be a worth a shot.

Mitchell always struck me as somewhat uncoordinated at this level of play.... always playing just a hair out of control and often landing awkwardly etc... Likable player, but just not all there from an agility standpoint.

That's it? Seriously!? Brady won't throw to you if you are not where you are supposed to be.

Dez doesn't get separation anymore. Can't jump.

And this is why he won't be here. I agree 100 percent the deal would have to be a fair deal for bpth sides if not then screw him.

Great argument on Early Edition. Mike Giardi is leaving Boston and go to San Francisco to cover the 49ers. He got into a flit when someone stared talking about the personnel changes on the Patriots and how it's all BB's fault if the team craps out.

Everyone went dead quiet when the following comment was made. Jimmy G was traded and picked up a monster contract. Cooks was traded and picked up a monster contract. If they were both here in New England, please explain how you keep this team intact with those two making a combined $42M in 2018? That's approx. 22% of the cap. Cooks had no where near the season Gronk had and he's making $6M more. JG is making $5.5M more than Brady. If you brought both of them up to the level of JG and BC the cap would be near 45% for 4 players.

Once you get over the emotion and look at the business side of a football team, you really see how much sense it makes to keep a bit of control on the salary structure.

The word is that Kraft would not let BB trade Brady and keep JG. Some folks think that Kraft should have stayed out of the personnel moves, but like any owner, he signs the checks and he has final say on who he signs them for. That led to Malcolm Butler. Why didn't he play in the Super Bowl? Butler has never said anything negative about being on the sideline.........and I'm going to start a new thread to discuss it.

CB Cyrus Jones, CB Jonathan Jones and S Nate Ebner are all present for the start of practice, in full pads. They all had opened camp on PUP.

Amazing how quick boo-boos go away when a team mate gets cut.

Offense came out to practice after two days off as flat as an 11 year old cheerleader. Josh and Scar were running laps with the guys. Sounds like BB is about to turn it up a notch or two.

Today, Tuesday 8/7 was interesting to say the least.

After the offense ran a couple of laps, offense and defense went 11 on 11. BB is watching things very closely because tempers are starting to flare and the last he wants is for someone to get hurt in practice.

Brian Hoyer and Danny Etling had "Holy Shit" days. Hoyer had a Hoyer dead nuts passing practice. The kind of day that he's become famous for. Etling on the other hand Josh jumping around. His passes were exactly where they were supposed to on nearly every play. They actually extended a few extra plays to see if he could keep it up and he did.

Ralph Webb has impressed Ivan Fears and may get in for more that half of the game against the Redskins to see how he does against a real opponent.

Here's the real shocker....................anyone heard of Corey BoJorquez?? He had all of the coaches, including BB walking up and down the field. He's virtually unknown and he was working with the punt return team today......actually he was working against the punt return team. He's a rookie left footed punter like Ryan Allen. Today when given the live opportunity to kick, his punts were averaging between 60-70 yards. His hand time was in the 5 second to 6 second range. When asked to kick to a spot, he nearly aced every kick and when BB asked him to drop one in front of the end zone, the coverage team was able to down the ball three times in a row inside the 5. Allen is a good punter, but this kid could be a new and deadly weapon.

Nice updates @BigKen. Thank you.

As for Dez... he’s not coming. Long before we discuss his “fit”, work ethic etc. there is the issue of money. He wants WAY more than the Pats are willing to offer. Trying to compare his situation to that of Moss is crazy. Moss WANTED to play HERE and he didn’t care about the money. None of those factors are in play with Dez.

It’s not gonna happen.

Yeah we all pretty much realize that, but stranger things have happened.
