Lots of injuries and issues. Hopefully there are no more going forward. Been a rough off-season.

Nope. not Detroit. Although some there too. Pats have quite a bit. McCourty, Mithchell and Thuney surgeries. Edleman suspension, Gronk contract (although he is not letting it be an issue now).

Not to mention the elephant in the room (Brady versus Belichick)

I always like this kid. Some take a little longer to mature into NFL players. Maybe this is his time?
More likely a camp body and possibly PS player?

I liked Lucien too. He had a lot of competition to make the team and put in a good effort. He got hurt just before cuts.
Lots of competition this year too but he might be equal to the competition if he doesn't have a bum shoulder.....

I'm back........................28 hours of total Comcast failure. No internet, no TV. Fixed.............Finally.

Webb has a better than average shot to make this team, worse case, the practice squad. BB loves guys like this who will go through a brick wall to make it, not just make some one look, but make the team. The other point is that he's not costing a fortune to keep and will be cheap for the next four years.

The best part so far, his name is getting mentioned by different people in the Boston media. Nothing huge, just a quick...."The undrafted RB Webb looked good with the second team today." Doesn't seem like much, but of Giardi and Zolack are seeing him stand out with the 2nd team, you can bet BB will see if he ST tools.

According to a league source, #Patriots WR Jordan Matthews is expected to miss just a few days after he tweaked his right hamstring early in Sunday's practice.

From Sunday 7/29...................

Kenny Britt was not at practice. Was seen at the far Conditioning Field. Is he hurt? Why is he with M. Mitchell and the other PUPs, like Cyrus Jones?

Corrderelle Patterson has been very good and looks like a giant among the WR. He has not dropped any passes and seems to be working extremely hard and has been extremely quiet. Maybe he realizes that this is the last stop and wants to be the Randy Moss that everyone thought he could be.

Riley McCarron has been excellent fielding punts and kickoffs.

Sony Michel is having a really difficult time holding on to the ball. He's had a couple squirt out during contact drills and Ball Security Drills. He held on on for two extremely vicious hits in goal line drill carries and even the coaches cheered.

Trent Brown has been impressive at LT. Photos next to Sony Michel were pretty funny. Michel barely comes up to Brown's shoulder. He pancaked Vincent Valentine in 5 on 5.

Danny Etling threaded the needle on several double team passes to Philip Dorsett. He had distance problems on several deep sideline passes, getting picked off by Gilmore and Harmon.

Brian Hoyer has just been Brian Hoyer. Great practice QB, not so good game QB.

Ball security issues will not get a NE RB any playing time.

Everything I have read stated Dwayne Allen has had a stellar camp. Apparently he shed some pounds improved his route running by quite a bit and is catching anything that comes near him. Let's hope this holds true.

Etling has pretty much sucked but we all know any pick past round four you can't expect much and he shown very little.

Michel better hold onto the damn ball, you held out for the deal of your choice seeing as you are a first round pick we all expect more.

Defense seems to be looking good, I am excited to see this more aggressive Pats D that is supposed to be in the making.

From all observations, Jordan Matthews has lost a step and a half. Also lost some of that fluid, quick cut that he had three years ago. He and Brady have stayed after practice and worked on his routes and timing, but he'll have a one really nice catch and then look like a totally lost rookie. He really needs to step it up and be consistent.

Dante apparently has both the first and second OLs working like machines. The competition for spots is really making a positive impression and from all reports, these offensive linemen may be something to be reckoned with. Isiah Wynn caught the last punt of the day yesterday and earned the entire team a day off today. Funny thing is that about 3/4 of the team are coming in for sectional workouts with each other. Makes a coach feel warm and fuzzy.

Flores is making speed and execution a defensive priority. He's simplified the defense, but at the same time made is more formidable. The secondary is giving all of the quarterbacks, including Brady, fits. part of the problem is that Brady on has a couple of familiar faces to throw at and the secondary is vicious trying to secure spots.

Cyrus Jones might not make this team. Duke Dawson has been stellar and Patrick Chung has been moved to the sideline as Dawson has moved into the slot cover position. He took on Gronk and literally stood him up in mid step. Belichick came in a pressed him and he outplayed everyone that he went up against. Dawson is a keeper.

Philip Dorsett is settling in at the slot. Edelman has moved to the X. Patterson has spent almost full time at the Y. Hogan is moving between the X and Z. With Edelman out for the first four, somebody HAS to step up grab that forth spot. They were hoping Jordan might do iy, but right now he's being pressed by two younger guys, Braxton Berrios and the star kick returner Riley McCarron. Kenny Britt, Maicolm Mitchell and Jordan are not making any positive impressions.

Today is an off day. Wednesday is back at full pads. The practice yesterday was inside Gillette on the playing surface for season ticket holders and Foxboro residents. About 40,000 people showed up for a two and half hour practice.

The way the guys in Training Camp Central are talking tonight, the Patriots will definitely make a move for a WR by Thursday. This is not good news about Malcolm Mitchell, Kenny Britt or Jordan Matthews.

Tom Curran said that Pats signed Matthews because he's 27 and that's 5 years yonger than eric Decker. They were hoping that his injuries were behind him. Looks like they came with him. Apparently Kenny Britt has something worse than originally reported, which was knee soreness. Just can't get anything more. Everyone knows that MM hasn't been anywhere close to what he was in the Super Bowl against Atlanta. Coming out and running and cutting really aggravated his bad knee.

So there are four possibilities that could occur by Thursday night:

1. Sign Eric Decker
2. Sign Dontrelle Inman
3. Sign Eric Decker AND Dontrelle Inman
4. Make a trade for a wide receiver.

Maybe a 5th option??

5.
3. Sign Eric Decker AND Dontrelle Inman AND make a trade for a wide receiver.

According to a league source, #Patriots WR Jordan Matthews is expected to miss just a few days after he tweaked his right hamstring early in Sunday's practice.

NFL Network says that Matthew's hamstring is worse than first reported. Of course everything worse than first reported if you weren't first to report it. Their report is that he's still not able to practice even at half speed.

It's Wednesday and the humidity and warm weather have returned after a two break. I just went out and sprayed my trash dumpsters and put them back next to the garage. I'm going to have to take my second shower this morning. I look like I just ran a mile. Even my boxers are clinging. Patriots are supposed to be in full pads and it's supposed to be a full contact practice. Trying to get some updates, but nothing is being reported live this morning.

Biggest gripe so far is that there are no shared practices this year. The patriots did try to get the Redskins to come up to Foxboro three days early and it appeared to be a go. Last I heard was that the league moved in and said no because no other teams were having shared practices this year and they didn't want to appear to be favoring anyone. MY OPINION......................I think teams wanted to stop the shared practices because they think the Patriots do too much of it and it gives them an advantage when the season starts. Last year they had practices with the Saints, Panthers and Giants. Teams like Buffalo are in remote areas, as are the Chiefs (St. Joseph, MO) and few others that make bringing other teams very expensive because there aren't any large hotels, restaurants and other places that a visiting team might need or want.

Jordan Matthews was cut this morning.

Marcus Cannon left the field with an un diclosed problem. Second time it's happens.

Sony Michel was on a stationary bike, got off and went immediately to the medical tent.

Temp is dropping, humidity going up.
