Tom Brady* just tossed another 3 yard slant, turned 58 yard TD to Gronk

Gronk is one of the 3 best players in the NFL right now. Bar none.

Look at Brady's numbers without him. Atrocious.

you believe it's just a giant coincidence in the timing of when they went in and out?

part of the pats fumbling success in prior years was because they had law firm who hadn't fumbled since like HS or something outrageous like that.

Exhibit A right here.. ;)

People see what they want to believe and can link things together that are coincidental.

Preaching to the choir......Easily the most important Non-QB in the NFL

It's not that it happened twice. It's that it happened twice and magically stopped when the NFL came over to turn off the Pats equipment.

MAGICALLY stopped! Well there we have it... Twice! TWICE!

They've hanged guys for less.

No question the Patriots thought they could sneak it by on the one game on national TV starting off the season after 7 months of Deflategate. I sure they thought no one would notice.

We have a small TV in our kitchen with a digital encoder and an antenna.
Certain channels have better reception than others. Sometimes the reception even changes if someone moves while we cook. To the point where I'll sometimes yell people to stop! if the game is on and a big play is about to happen.. (Sad but true) Sometimes it even works! :D

Magic.

I didn't. I saw some highlights, which is how I know Butler got there early (and there's no question if the roles were reversed ther ewoudl've been 40 flags on the field).

I haven't watched more than a few minutes of an NFL game in years.

It's barely above the NBA in terms of corruptness (the NBA is on the verge of a RICO level corruptness) and it's become pointless to watch.

College football was nice but the good ole boys club of last year's playoff committee (there's no question that being TCU and Baylor and not Texas and Oklahoma played an impact in who got the #4 spot) even tarnished that for me.

But MLB is the best sport anyway. So it's all good.

May I buy some of the marijuana you're smoking at the moment?

MLB.

No favoritism for specific players.

The rules are the rules.

The best commish of the 4 sports.

the best overall sport of the 4 sports.

the most games to watch

the least amount of corruption.

by far the best officials/referees/umpires of any of the major sports.

Sharp Football Analysis

I just stumbled across this article yesterday. I'm not sure if anyone has pointed out the allegations in the article yet but these statistics are pretty damning. The Patriots have mysteriously become amazing at not fumbling since 2007. Deflating footballs would explain why.

The most damning statistic is the difference in road fumbles once the Patriots were able to control the footballs that they used on offense.

Before reading this article I figured a slap on the wrist would be appropriate. But maybe some harsh punishment is needed.
Or the reason the Seahwaks lost to them could be that they are just stupid players with poor coaching.

Who said that?

Honestly don't remember and I don't care enough to wade through all the posts to find it. I'm not even saying I completely agree with what was said, I'm just saying that's what I heard/read.

Baseball just isn't as good as football, on the most basic level. Period. I think you were born in the wrong time period

Baseball required an IQ over 7 to both play and enjoy

there is more action in a baseball game than a football game

yet again, the officiating is just light years better.

I like bb as well. But you're wrong on so many accoubts. There is definitely special treatment for the top hitters and pitchers, if you don't think so you're more lost than you're appearing to be. The umpires (that's what they actually) call them in bb are terrible. The slowest moving of the big 4 sports and they constantly get calls wrong. Strike zones appear to be whatever that certain ump feels like making it that day. Replay and K zones have exposed how bad the umps are. Not to mention what prima donnas the umps are. Look at them the wrong way, question a call or drop your equipment to close to them you're ejected. Sorry but the majority of umps suck.

They're better than the NFL guys.

The only reason that challenges are even around the 50/50 mark is because teams are getting replays before having to challenge.

It's like if NFL teams got to see all the replays before deciding whether to throw the challenge flag.

And just look at the post season, look at how many of them are stupid things like the pop up slide.

Then compare it to the nba where 8 steps can be missed as a travel or the NFL where the biggest play int eh SB last year was a blown call.

Even if there is some preferential treatment, it's not even close otthe same level that guys like Brady, Luck and Manning get on the field. Brady drew a Brady rule below the knee penalty when he got hit in the HIP by Terrell Suggs a few years ago.

Not to mention we just had one of the NFL's top officials tell Cam Newton he wasn't old enough to get a call.

But I agree the confrontational nature of baseball is becoming a bit of a problem. Although replay has really helped with a lot of that.

although when I last watched the NBA (pre them fixing game 7 of the 2010 finals) NBA officials were ridiculously quick with technical foul whistles for verbal barbs from players.
