What outcry is hypocritical? The Patriots were ALREADY proven cheaters. They got punished for failing to have proper controls to prevent this from happening. Thus they received a punishment that was likely based the fact that they are two time losers.

There is absolutely zero evidence that Pete Carroll had any knowledge of any PED use.You are making a baseless insinuation as a way to deflect away from the basic fact that the Patriots were actively caught cheating in multiple situations. All good points. However, the precedent shows that EVERYONE beats Goodell on appeal. Why would this be any different? Especially when this one has less evidence than Bountygate, Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson did. And they all won on appeal.
