So Sanders not getting drafted through 3 rounds is clearly collision right?

What the what? That's crazy.
why would they need to? Had Baker when they got here (and he was pretty good until he was hurt) then picked up that watson fellow who had rarely missed games to injury. also never had a high pick to take one.

Played well? We must have been watching different QB's.

In 5 games, he had a 61.4% completion percentage with 7 TD's and 4 picks.

The Browns were 3-2 and he never even threw for 300 yards.

I didn't count the 6th game vs the Colts because he only threw 1 pass and was done.
Yes, played well. Had an awful game vs. the Steelers but was exceptional against TN and AZ and had a perfect half to bring us back in arguably the best win for any team/QB that season in Bmore.

Had big leads in 2 of the 4 wins so no need to throw. In another week 1 was a monsoon but he badly outplayed Burrow in another win....and the Bmore game. Went 4-1.
again, yes, he played well.

Horrible comparison.

Sanders was the most accurate thrower in the draft at 74%. Tebow and Kaep? Not nearly as accurate. Both had serious issues with their completion %.
and both had attitudes that interfered with their ability to do the job they were drafted and paid millions to do and ended up costing them their careers. Sanders had made it clear that he would expect the team that drafted him to adjust their thinking and concepts to fit his not the other way around. teams did not want to put up with that and chose not to draft him in the early rounds no matter the projected talent level. as you pointed out with Tebow and Kaep, sometimes the team takes president over talent

It's also worth noting that his high comp% comes on the basis of an offense that relies, nearly, all on 3 yards or less in the passing game. Nearly zero defensive reads, and relies heavily on an elite group of WR's to gain elite YAC to be an effective offense.

That works in college because when you have that kind of grouping at WR, on most days in the B12 (Ok, nearly every day) that is going to be good enough. That would not, IMO, work in the SEC or B10 with top tier teams.

Also, you are correct in the fact that you don't go in to a meeting as a potential draft pick and tell teams how they need to change their offense for you. Chances are, they've been working on building that offense up for a few years, or already have players under a specific scheme signed. What you do is hope that a team that needs a QB also runs a similar style offense (As I've said, MIA would have been a good fit here, as they run a similar style offense). If you get drafted by a team that runs something different - then it's an opportunity to grow you game and become a better QB - not hold the team hostage and force a change.

Lastly - attitude matters when you are looking at a potential backup role. Most teams saw Sanders as QB2, at least for a year or 2. His interviews, both with teams and the media, made that clear the expectation was for him to be day 1 QB1. There's also a lot of noise that follows him. Much like in the case with Kap - sometimes, that kind of juice just isn't worth the squeeze. As for Tim - he just wasn't a good NFL QB. His style was great, at the time, for college - but had almost no elite traits to transfer to the NFL.

You know I feel bad for Kevin, poor guy will have to deal with this pro Sanders media agenda for a long time. It is in his best interest to get fired and get away from this nonsense. His owner put him in a terrible situation.

It's easy to act right when you know all the lights are on.

It's the behind the scenes stuff where most of this comes out. When the person (be it Sanders, or whomever) thinks no one else is looking, no cameras are rolling, and the lights look like they may be off...that's when the true persona comes to light.
