If we can just somehow keep our top 7 or 8 pitching prospects from having a major injury or completely falling apart this season, that will be a major accomplishment.Prospects we're excited to see in 2021
Rangers: Cole Winn, OF (No. 3)
The most polished high school right-hander in the 2018 Draft, Winn went 15th overall and made significant strides down the stretch when he made his pro debut the next year in Low A. Making the jump to Double-A this season, he possesses a solid four-pitch mix and could advance quickly in an organization that needs pitching.
Must change and will in a year or so but in the mean time take an old cold tater and wait. The Rangers continue to maintain a pace to surpass 1700 K's for the season. No team has ever broken 1600 K's.
Finally, a mock draft that I can hope is right. They have Lawler going to the Pirates and us taking Leiter.

2021 Mock MLB Draft - 2 months out - Off The Bench
This is one of the toughest MLB drafts to predict in recent memory. We’re still about 2 months away, so the task of mocking the draft is a little more reasonable than it was the last time I did this here. While this is normally pretty difficult, after a crazy year in 2020, it’s going […]www.offthebenchbaseball.com
Just like Eph, Crawler and Kellyman did it.
Would like to see Gallo in #2 and force them to pitch to him with Solak and Lowe to follow.

That's right. No savy' Woody sometime. My thinking as well. Gallo at 2 sees better pitches with Solak behind him, and if ends up walking, he's on base for Solak/Lowe/Garcia.
He needs to go to another team so he can have a manager and hitting coach who aren't trying to make him into something he isn't. Coach him to his strengths and not to be a walk machine. Maybe when that happens, CY and JD will wake up and realize our coaching staff needs to be rebuilt too.Gallo is 6th in the AL in on-base % and 1st in walks (2nd overall). His strength right now is getting on base. Looking at that AL top 6, Gallo's batting average is 108 points lower than the closest guy, his slugging is 243 points lower, and his OPS is 271 points lower.
Locking him into batting third is just wasteful, because he's not producing with the bat as you would expect.

I think he may or may not ever reach the level that we thought he would, but I do think he is being held back right now by him listening too much to his coaches. I think if he goes elsewhere that he will have a resurgence much like Elvis did after Wash left. Now, what level he gets back to is beyond me, but I think it will be closer to what he did prior to last year than what he is doing this year.Don't disagree with the idea that he needs to go to another team, but I have to wonder if Gallo is what he is, and there's only so much he has to offer, and we've seen it.
