The reason it wasn't an issue was that Ian had to get out of the way to allow Donaldson room to make the play. If he ran into Donaldson it would have been runner's interference.

That's how I saw it too ... Kinsler avoiding getting in Donaldson's play on the ball. TAG thought Kinsler was lucky that Donaldson wasn't able to make the play and tag him and still get Beltre at 1b. I think Kinsler was already past him at that point. When they showed the play from the 3b-2b line though you could see how far onto the grass he had to go to avoid interfering with the play. Had the play been on him ... he would probably have been called out ... but since he was running to avoid interfering with Donaldson umps didn't make a call.

Don't think OAK even said anything about it to the umps either as I remember.

Missed most of last nights game, but did anyone discuss Ian running out of the basepath to avoid the double play on Beltre's RBI? Didn't see OAK complaining, but sure looked like he should have been called out for going on the grass.

Kinda thought the same, but I've always been a bit fuzzy on the enforcement of that rule, but based on the explanation above, makes sense

Big game today..... Darvish on the mound against a guy who hasn't lost in a long ass time. I just hope we can get Yu a 3 run lead and give him a chance. It's an important game, but since we won last night it's not the end of the world if we lose.

Winning last night does not excuse winning today. Losing any game now is highly important. Every game from here on out should be treated as a must. Time is getting short.

Come on Yu hold these clowns to 2 runs or fewer. And offense, for the love of Dave Hostetler, support that man on the mound.

Okay guys ... we are all on the hotseat today. Wash has put out the speediest board favorite lineup possible (with Elvis out). With Martin and Gentry at the top ... and Profar and Adduci at the bottom ... those 4 are the Texas Terrors! I am really pumped!

Got to get some work completed by 5pm ... and its going to be tough with Yu and the Texas Terrors on together.
