That was a stomach punch episode. It wasn't the visual that got me so much as his screaming. Brutal, brutal scene. I was awake about 2 hours longer than I anticipated after that one.

That pile of goo that was his head was pretty gruesome.

im seeing set pics being released, looks like alot of actual built sets like A New Hope. Give me a decent story and no ghost ewan macgregor or hayden christensen and its already way better than 1 2 and 3.

but I just wanted to post the GOT actress is in it now. thats cool.

So Jaime has to help Tyrion escape right? I understand they've knocked off a number of characters but Tyrion seems above the rest. The show will be far less interesting if he's no longer involved.

I have no idea how Tyrion gets out of this. I imagine he will fight it if the Mountain died anyway and its a no contest and the trial is thrown out. That being said Tywin and Cersai want him dead so bad (Tywin shouldnt as a tactical mind like Tyrions can be nothing but good for his kingdom)

Yea it's been on my mind all day. That Mountain guy is pretty strong.

Was that worse than the Red Wedding? I think so. The Red Wedding there were at least other positive storylines going down, it was shocking and disappointing for sure. But this, not a ton of positives going on, it got your hopes through the roof and then just dropped your mood in the most gruesome way possible.

Yeah, this was the most depressing episode of Game of Thrones.

-Viper gone in gruesome fashion
-Mountain probably gone with him
-Tyrion sentenced to death
-Mole Town next to the Wall was sacked
-Arya has totally snapped
-Hound in bad shape
-Reek totally owned
-Northern town totally gets killed and flayed after surrendering
-The mother of dragons parts with Ser Friend Zone

The next two episodes are going to be really cool but I'm not sure they are going to lift the audience out of the depression that this one caused.

I think what really bugs me about this last episode is the week off that happened before it and now it pivots into the episode dedicated to the Wall.

They really should have delayed all of the events in episode 5 up North (when Bran worgs Hodor and Jon wins his duel) to after the events of the Martell vs the Mountain and maybe dealt with Arya's plotline earlier in its place.

As is, I doubt many people are invested in the plotline in the North right now and everyone is still reeling with Tyrion's plotline without getting any 'closure' until the last episode. It seems like an odd gaffe in the middle of the best season of the show.
