I loved how everyone went from cheering when Oberyn had the upper hand to that look of "Uh oh! Why is he not killing him? Pretty sure he just fucked himself!"

Another great episode in a fantastic season, but I have one thought after it...
If Tyrion dies, FUCK Game of Thrones.
Agreed, he's certainly the heart and soul of the show. There are not many good guys left.
Better finish strong game of thrones, that episode couldn't hold a candle to the Battle of Helms Deep
Great production values for that episode. Amazing for TV.
I was expecting more of a surprise finish. I can't remember if there was more than 1 attack in the book but I'm thinking another one might be coming unless they are really changing things up.
Helms Deep was a far better battle
With enough firepower 1 man on top of the wall could easily be worth 1000 men attacking it. The problem was they had a group that were already over the wall that they had to worry about.
Pretty sure I would not have signed up to climb the Wall in the middle of a siege!
Oh yeah, it was. However I was impressed with that they did on this with far less time and far less budget.
I think so too. The next night might not go so poorly if everyone is fighting on the same side and not fighting two attacking armies.
This is a pretty important part of the whole battle. While everything looks very bleak for the very few remaining men of the Night's Watch, subsequent battles will theoretically be much more advantageous for them. With enough firepower 1 man on top of the wall could easily be worth 1000 men attacking it. The problem was they had a group that were already over the wall that they had to worry about.
