That's all you're going to get for the battle at The Wall this season for sure. I thought it was well done, but they did change it up quite a bit.
I don't consider this a spoiler, but there is more to come. The battle at The Wall is far from over. I imagine they will get back to it within the first two episodes next season.
There really is a lot more to that whole battle if you can recall from the books. However it's very possible that they change the story up and cut it short, but I can't imagine they cut out one of the most major parts in the whole story.
I'm gonna watch the episode again, but I honestly don't understand the hate episode 9 is getting. I thought it was fucking great for a TV series.
There was a giant who shot an arrow the size of a fucking horse through a human causing him to fly through the friggin' air and land impaled in the ground. There was a fucking scythe built into the wall that completely destroyed the wildling climbers.
And that long panning shot of the battle was fucking awesome.
That episode is getting hate? Just had a chance to watch it and it was spectacular. Pretty awesome battle with a lot of cool emotional stuff (Tarly and the Meister's conversation about love and duty, Egrid's tragic death, John Snow becoming the leader we knew he could be) rolled into it as well.
I thought it was phenomenal. This whole season has been stellar.
This series is almost spoiling television for me. The directing, the writing, the budget, wardrobe, everything about this show is borderline flawless. I've read several things saying this past episode has to make movie makers nervous because it was so epic and well done. It was a monumental episode for what television is capable of.

Overall I think the show is good, nothing great and I thought the episode was really good and entertaining. The second half of the season has been really solid.
agreed ... people were probably looking for the type of singular mindfuck moment that occurred the in the oberyn v mountain episode
I almost shit myself with joy when I saw the giant let loose that arrow and completely wrecked that dude. That was fucking awesome. I'm trying to find a good gif of it.
i really enjoyed that scythe scene
the one down the side of the wall?
FUCK YES
Just some red stains left.
