Mind blown at 1:38! Thought they'd go with his role in Last Crusade which I also only recently found out was him.

I think I knew that one. I was more surprised by Peter Dinklage in Seinfeld

Yeah that was definitely cool to find out! Bronn's is the funniest!

Even watching some of these actors in their previous roles I can't help but think that it seems like they were born to play their GoT roles.

Yup, and I think Momoa's is a close second.

Well fuck, that was more brutal than I remember in the books. Great episode all around.

They're really changing the whole Eyrie storyline up from the books.

So brutal. After the way the battle started so positively I knew it would end in disaster. It's still not 100% clear to me, could the mountain die from his wounds? What would happen then?

Surprises are coming. I imagine that ending was pretty shocking, just wait for the next two episodes. I imagine they will sneak two more big events in that have some serious wow factor.

The sneak peak at the end for next episode has me real excited. I hope they really capture the action from the books.

I think I have a good idea of the finale with the title of the episode which is the "wow" factor I was referring to.

Good rule of thumb: when in a fight to the death - don't fuck around to make a show of it.

The fight seemed a bit rushed. I was watching the clock and started to think they weren't even going to have time for it. If I remember correctly, in the books it was more back and forth with the Mountain mostly dominating in the beginning. He killed a spectator too, somewhat accidentally. Then Martell really started coming on strong at the end and that's when he started getting really emotional about his sister and her kids. I have to agree with you, the way it was shown on TV you knew 1 guy wasn't going to dominate most of the fight from start to finish and end up as the winner. That was still pretty awesome though!

I like the 'poison is a woman's weapon' being mentioned before the fight.

The dialogue about the beetle smashing was also very interesting. I thought it was Tyrion making commentary on fatalism but my friend thought it was Tyrion making a comment about Tywin.
