I got another day in FLA (orlando) ... florida guys help me out ... clearwater or daytona beach ... please dont answer neither :thumb:

South of Clearwater, Madeira beach if you want to relax and just enjoy the beach.

Clearwater if you want really odd shit to look at.

Stay away from Daytona. It's filled with people who went there in the 80's on spring break and never left.

I love this time of the year, dyeing squirrels for Easter. I got my kit from Paas already!

My biggest take away from this article full of historical transit maps compared to modern networks is that the Pacific Electric Railway had a cool ass logo and LA should bring it back ASAP.

Also, I'm very interested in knowing how Buffalo's transit system crossed the border.

Mapped: historical public transit systems v their modern equivalents

Not if that groundhog has anything to say about it.

I did the kennedy space centre tour a couple weeks back and the cutest little girl asked the guide how many burned animals they find after a rocket launch :ohwell:

Kind of sad of what Detroit became.

I wish they showed this for Pittsburgh on how pathetic the system is today vs the extensive the street car system was.

That is absolutely fantastic. I had no idea that Buffalo had ever had such an extensive service.
One time I went to Buffalo and actually saw the Metro Rail train on the move. To that point I had just figured it was mothballed. Hell, maybe it was.

I've still never seen the Detroit People Mover in action and it doesn't even show up on the Detroit map in that article lol

Also, streetcars are the god damn devil. Be thankful they don’t plague your city.

The Buffalo one is largely under-utilized except around arena events.

I've taken the Detroit People Mover once, just for fun. It's really not bad. A little weird, but kinda cool. But I'm kind of a transit junky, so...

Kurt Cobain died 25 years ago today. Was a huge inspiration to me as a teenager. My dorm room in college had an entire wall with his pictures on it. Makes me feel a little old, but more makes me feel sad for the happiness that never was for Kurt.

The Unplugged show was probably the best televised live performance of the 90s (and the best of a VERY good series!).

Damn sad day for music. Little bit of a Nirvana fan myself. One of the 2 music tastes that I didn't get from my family.
