By the way, why wasn't Hertl assessed a match penalty for his temper tantrum and attempted kick at TJ Brodie last night? Here's the text straight from the NHL rulebook:

Match Penalty - A match penalty shall be imposed on any player who kicks or attempts to kick another player.
Whether or not an injury occurs, the Referee will impose a five (5) minute time penalty under this rule.
Fines and Suspensions - There are no specified fines or suspensions for kicking and opponent, however, supplementary discipline can be applied by the Commissioner at his discretion.

If deemed appropriate, supplementary discipline can be applied by the Commissioner at his discretion.

If the refs missed it, I can see why. He certainly deserved one.

The League on the other hand, should set him down for a couple of games.

I have it on good authority that the Sens are an up and coming team and were supposed to be a handful, but John "Magic Man" Tortorella is finally getting his team to establish the identity he wants, therefore this epic battle came down to the fact that the Jackets simply willed themselves to win. And Fruit Punch is the most popular kool aid flavor.

Crazy game huh? In Rask's defense 1 goal shouldn't have counted (high stick pass), and another was deflection off his defenseman's skate. Both teams with moments of brilliance and sloppiness.

I'm just starting to watch NHL games again, I used to watch it more when I lived in MI. 27 yrs ago. They don't have Red Wings games broacast on MN channels very often. lol

Check on your cable system and see if it's on. Get you a week or so of games
