Yeah, do you remember ALLCAPSGOJAYS from the swamp? He was giving me those kind of vibes. If he starts posting that Aki Berg was a great defenseman, we'll have our answer.

From TSN’s trade bait post:

“Some believe that there's potential of Schenn being traded by the Blues,” TSN’s Darren Dreger reported on Insider Trading. “He is their captain. He does have a full no-trade clause, so it is a complicated process. But we also know Doug Armstrong, the general manager, how aggressive he can be, and the Blues are underachieving right now.

“So yes, the top contenders looking at the market, looking for a centre, are interested, and that would include the Toronto Maple Leafs. The return would have to be mammoth. Is there a team that is willing to pay it? It's too soon to say, but I do believe the Blues are at least testing or gauging the market to see what that level of interest is.”

Not really sure why anybody would send a “mammoth” return for a 33 year old who hasn’t broken 21 goals in 3 years.

this made me laugh. he got 20 last year lol I know its trivial but I snorted.

the dude is -56 in the last 3 years combined as well. his D play is meh , he makes $6.5M a season and has 3 years left on that at 33. I agree with you that a mammoth return is not what I would see happening.

I get where you're coming from. Brayden Schenn's recent performance doesn't exactly scream "blockbuster trade piece." At 33 years old and with a cap hit of $6.5 million per year, it's definitely a hefty investment.

However, his leadership, playoff experience (including a Stanley Cup win in 2019), and physicality might still make him an attractive option for teams looking to bolster their center depth and add some veteran presence. Plus, the Blues are reportedly open to exploring their options, which means they might be willing to listen to offers1.

It's definitely a complex situation. Do you think the Blues should hold onto him and hope for a turnaround, or is it time for a change?

:D Sorry @Bloody Brian Burke I couldn't help my AI self.
