Reading Howden's testimony, I felt it was a little unusual how certain details were so specific like he thought there was food, knew who specifically was in the room, what some were wearing, which menus he looked at and some specific things he claims to have overheard that she said which would have given prosecution pause at bringing charges. I thought it was weird if he was interviewed during the investigation and said all of the exact same things, it would not have looked good on her, especially if anyone else corroborated what he claims she said.

Turns out there were as many as 18 differences in what he said before and in court, and the investigators kind of felt he was struggling with his memories of it at first but somehow crystallized it all now.

Or in other words, somewhere along the line, he's lying.

Then there's this from Carter Hart's lawyer:
“Savard also described Howden as unsophisticated, that he didn’t come dressed for court (he was wearing a hoodie) and that he was inarticulate, a poor communicator and careless with words.
Savard said if his feigning memory was deliberate, you would expect a general trend towards being helpful.

“I would say, if anything, we may all say at the end of the day this witness is generally useless, but certainly not helpful to the defence,” Savard said.“

"He's too stupid to lie, and if he was going to lie, he'd have tried harder to help us"

lol, some moron in the replies wants him to bring in Dan Bylsma as an assistant.

I can see why, those two worked so well in Detroit for all those seasons hahaha

I was listening to an interview with John Shannon and while I'm not really a fan of his, he does have very good connections and he mentioned that Gerard Gallant wants to get back into the NHL in some kind of coaching capacity. He seems to have the same kind of results as Laviolette, great early success but seems to wear our his welcome quickly.

I wish I had a gif of him going off on the refs with his famous multiple WTF tirade.

I think Conroy is looking for more help in the top 6 as the Flames have trouble scoring goals. The Flames defense corps is pretty good in my opinion, if they can trade Rasmus (or package him) for a top 6 forward (preferably a centre), that would be great.

Wonder what offers would come if Cole SIllinger winds up as part of the deal. He's got top 6 talent, but not sure he's gonna get that shot in Columbus. Especially not since Cayden Lindstrom is alive now. Even more so if we go after (and land) Boeser or Ehlers.

Don't think we're at the moving Johnson point, and no way either Andersson or Hronek is enough to get him anyway. Other side would need to add a bunch. Not sure who in the league would be enough to get him. Fantilli and Marchenko are definite no.

I'd move Sillinger or Voronkov for the right guy. Jenner for sure. Severson just isn't fitting Evason's system, so I'd move him too.
