I think it was roto that said Burress was running like he had a piano on his back last season. That can't be good on your resume.

ya he's slowed down, but he's a good possession reciever now. something we desperately need.

I'd like him for red zone but you need STs play that far down the depth chart.

well burress would be our #3 and if moss doesn't pan out, manningham and burress should be a decent combo. they'll be able to take advatange of the attention vernon gets.

So cap space is around $10M now with Smith's contract? I guess we're still waiting on Smith's contract details, but should still have enough $ for someone to compete for the starting RG spot, a veteran RB, and possible re-sign Reggie Smith for a short-term deal.....

Michael Bush is interesting now. Apparently the market has been really soft for him and he's probably going to get 3 mil a year. I know most are advocating to draft someone but he's got pretty low mileage for 27.

I'm all for it- especially with Tolbert off the market. He'd be a nice compliment to Gore and short-yardage specialist. Certainly an upgrade over Dixon.

Well now that Smith contract is over we await the details. Manningham signing has flown under the radar after all thie QB mess.

Im really curious as to what he got becuase he seemed like he was expecting a nice payday and starting job, then the market dried on him. Also wonder if he signed thinking manning was coming here.

I would like that move too, wonder what Dixons fate will be this yr. He seems to be working really hard this offseason along with Kap. Great team guy too dixon is.

Would Bush be elevatd(if signed by SF) to the #2 role? The guy can play....

I like Hunter though and his speed off the LOS.

I think he'd be our short yardage thumper and Hunter compliment if Gore went down. He's apparently looking for more than $3M per though. :(

Anyone still want Ted Ginn back?

I do. He has value on the team as the return specialist, and #4 or #5 WR.

I would want him back at the right price but I don't think the problem is on our end.

He wants to be a WR first and a return guy second and he wouldn't be that for us or probably any team for that matter.

Smith's cap hit for this season is $9.25M. He didn't receive a SB so the gtd is not pro-rated for cap purposes. Still waiting on the figures for Manningham and Ginn. We are pretty much done in free agency now with the draft requiring upwards of $4M.
