Carlos Rogers - DB - 49ers

ESPN 101 St. Louis' Howard Balzer is "hearing" the Rams plan to target free agent CB Carlos Rogers.
Coming off a career year at age 30, Rogers is believed to be seeking a four- to five-year deal worst at least $5 million annually. Capable of playing both outside and in the slot, he'd slot nicely into a secondary the Rams desperately need to improve.

That's totally reasonable. Structure the 5 years so years 4 and 5 can be cut in a cap friendly way, and get it done Baalke!

All he wants is 4yr-20mil on the minimum?? Whats the hold up Trent? That is pretty reasonable for a Pro Bowl CB, and if age catches up to him by 34.. just cut your losses and move on.

Rams got Courtland Finnegan.

So that puts them out of the Rogers chase.

Rogers and Alex Smith both might come home to the 49ers with their tail between their legs, looks like they don't have many suitors so far.

OK so my two biggest concerns now are return guy and RG.

Ginn might be gone. Eddie Royal is still not a Redskin (maybe he doesn't want to be the 3rd or 4th WR).

No, since we haven't gotten per details yet. MM threw out a guess of 3M in the first year. Paraag would need a bust in the 49ers hall of fame if that turned out to be the number.

Also when I get around to it the number will increase since Moss came in less than 2.5M. I also don't remember what the vet minimum is since that is what Cox got.
