Me either. He was done here. Saying that, we need a replacement more than Rua or Pro.
These are talented guys who need a solid position and not UI/O players.

Doobie signs the big extension with Phils who are looking to the future. Remembering when he was burning it up in winter ball and surprised we did not protect him. Sigh....

Well. We left last season on a poor pitching note. I think we will sign 2 more guys, one high impact. We are going to need some growth from our young guys to do more than contend. Injuries have taken its toll on our bets and guys like Profar. Dutch Wouk still be here if he never gotten injured. To do so well going through this is amazing

Baseball is full of surprises.

The way the season ended this year understandably tempered lots of folks expectations for the coming season. Not to mention the team looks to have gotten less talented and not moreso at this point. Early enough where things can obviously change before ST but I still believe the team takes a step back this year before attempting to add more significant talent again in the coming years

Honestly, since the magical season of 2010, 2011 is the only subsequent season that went how I expected from the outset. These Rangers... I love them, but I've given up trying to predict them.

Here is a quote about Profar that was mentioned in the TR Sullivan article about our 1B options. It may surprise some.

his positional preference is no secret.

"Middle infield," Profar admitted. "But the Rangers already have their middle infield, [so] I'll just get ready and see what happens."

Notice he said middle infield and not SS. It seems he would be just fine playing 2B for us should the Rangers wake up and move him there. He isn't insisting on playing SS.

Watching hot stove this morning. While they're talking to JD, they put up the the Rangers projected lineup and they have Gallo penciled in at DH. Are you kidding me. I guess they didn't see his 1 for 25 and .040 average. I always thought you put someone in the DH spot that could actually hit.

I doubt that conversation had any real substance. Gallo is simply not MLB ready.
