Webster has some nice action on his fastball and throws a heavy sinker.

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The Rangers on Sunday received a reminder of how disruptive fleet outfielder Delino DeShields can be when playing his game.

In the first inning of an exhibition against the Chicago White Sox, DeShields reached on a leadoff single past drawn-in third baseman Todd Frazier and moved into scoring position by stealing second and taking third on a throwing error. DeShields scored on a Nomar Mazara double.

In the fifth, the White Sox pitcher panicked after fielding a bunt by DeShields and threw the ball into right field. Then with Joey Gallo at first, the White Sox tried to pick off DeShields from third. DeShields beat the defense and scored.

That is what DeShields does best: score runs through the intimidation of speed. He is getting back to that this spring.

"When I get on base, I find a way to touch home plate," said DeShields, out of the lineup for Monday night's game against San Francisco. "Walk or get a hit, it doesn't matter. I try to get on any way I can and touch home plate as much as I can."

As a rookie in 2015, DeShields reached base 167 times and scored 83 runs for a 49.7 percent success rate. He had a similar rate last season but reached base only 55 times.

His problem is when he hits a home run, he thinks he is a power hitter and starts swinging for the fences his next 50 at bats. That's not his game.

You've got a point. However, it seems the word was should be used instead of is. He's addressing this right now in AZ and by his/Banisters words, he's got back to being who he was 2 seasons ago.

My nephew went to Cooperstown this week. He is a sportswriter for his university in NYC. He thought of his dear uncle and shared the following with me.

Chi Chi appears to have gotten screwed on a missed strike call and an infield error. Seems like he's throwing a lot of strikes today. 4 K's so far. Attacking the zone. Nice to see.

Odor has to setitle for a single on a ball he hits off of the wall in CF because he had to flip his bat and stand in the box and admire what he thought was a HR. I don't like that part of his game at all. Let guys like Bautista to those things. It is time to grow up.
