Spot on and I have said the same thing to my wife many times.
Well I'm just happy I'm not the only one who noticed it. Haven't heard people say much about that.

Maybe I am alone on this, but I actually like Manaea on Oakland better. I doubt they would move him at 25, but I would offer TO for him and see where it goes.
I have the same feeling you do.Marco Gonzalez for Tyler O'Neill.
Well, there is our big rotation addition.
Hope I'm wrong about not being very enthusiastic about this trade.
I have the same feeling you do.
I haven't seen Gonzales pitch, from the little I have read he is injury prone and probably fits in as a back end of the rotation guy. This really feels like Dipoto sold low on O'neill.
yeah, thats about right.Ceiling: Jason Vargas
Floor: Danny Hultzen
And this whole, "we traded from a place of strength" thing always bugs me. You still have to get equal talent back. I remember us trading a young SS because of strength at the position...Omar for Fermin and Jefferson.

My perspective is that we did trade from a place of strength, but I don't believe we received someone of equal value. If we would've traded for someone of O'Neill's value, I'd be fine with the trade. O'Neill projects as a good five tool corner outfielder who I could see in an All-Star game, Gonzales projects as a #4 if thinks work out. #3 if you're optimistic.
I have to assume/hope that the Mariners scouting department sees something in Gonzales that we don't see. Because on the surface it doesn't make sense.
Your last sentence is what scares the crap out of me. Dipoto is an analytics guy and analytics says Vogelbach is an all star caliber major league hitter.
Well, even when taking analytics into consideration, I'm unsure what there is to like about Gonzales.
