He'll be back, he did this on the old PI forum once years ago and gave us daily updates on the Angels games for a while.
i just put the $1K I saved by getting rid of cable this year into my IRA, and bough an amazon share.

if it's between spending $1400/year on cable to watch M's games and $100 for mlb.tv to watch everybody else, i'll go with the latter.

who the fuck on the m's do i have to root for? there used to be felix, and he was enough to bring me back before, but he's absolute shit now. i don't give a fuck about cano or cruz. that leaves, who, paxton and seager, and then a giant pile of turds after that?

i love baseball, and will watch a ton of games, and i'll need somebody to root for. looking forward to it.

My question of the day; When we don't get Ohtani (Labelled Plan A by JD), do we have a Plan B? If the past is any indication, I am guessing Plan B is 'Panic'.

I think Ohtani and Darvish are plans A and A1 at this point. There are some other arms on the market that could be useful.

Yea I don’t see any top of the rotation coming here besides Ohtani maybe. Weird market right now with Ohtani and Stanton preventing any action elsewhere.

Now if the M's were real smart, they would invite Freddy Garcia, Jose Guillen, and Brett Boone to LA to take Ohtani out on the town. They could get him to sign on the dotted line around 3 in the morning.

So would an old Cano or older Cruz really sway him? Maybe a dead-armed Felix? The Hair Twins Gamel & Motter? :)
Im just saying Cruz could show him some good juice

Come on Zona, it was Carlos Guillen. I'll never forget those two.

I know what you meant, just giving you crap. Those two were infamous with their having a good time after games.

That led to CARLOS Guillen getting traded. They thought he was a bad influence on the Chief. I liked Carlos. Not big numbers, but always hit in the clutch late in close games.

Which is something I never understood. Why deal a potential all star SS while keeping an alcoholic ace who was too lazy to be in shape? Both were solid players but obviously Seattle gambled on the wrong dude.

100% plan B is make 47 trades ... involving all of the top prospects

But the good news now is all our top prospects aren't relevant anymore so no loss....lol.

According to Craig Mish of Sirius XM, the Cardinals proposed deal for Giancarlo Stanton is centered around prospect Sandy Alcantara.

Mish also notes that the Cardinals deal includes more cash than the Giants' proposed deal does. Alcantara, a 22-year-old right-hander, registered a 4.31 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 106/54 K/BB ratio across 125 1/3 innings at Double-A Springfield this season.

Not that I have spent much time hoping we could get Stanton, but if this is the headline player for him then we should be going for it. It is all about money which I know M's are allergic to spending, but come on!

Truly shocked O'Neill wouldn't be involved in a Stanton deal. That would be the most Mariners thing ever.

Not an impressive prospect especially for a guy like Stanton. Its all about the money, Seattle won't touch this. And sadly if the price tag (in terms of players) is a guy like Alcantara Seattle could probably pull it off.

Cashman said that Ohtani’s reps told him they were very impressed with team’s presentation, but no matter how good it was, the Yankees couldn’t make themselves West Coast or a smaller market.

Sources: Shohei Ohtani continues to narrow the field for his meetings next week. The New York Yankees are out. The San Francisco Giants are one of the finalists. The Seattle Mariners also are in.
