Chancellor retired...

Russell Wilson is basically on his own this year. I can't imagine him playing much better than last season and even that couldn't get them a playoff berth WITH the elite players who left.

I think it's perhaps time to stop talking about Seattle as a big test. Still could be tough, as they have a really good HC and QB. However, this isn't nearly as daunting of a Week 2 matchup (especially at home) as we originally may have thought. Certainly far less daunting than GB in Week 1.
I’d still say it’s a good test. Russell Wilson will put plenty of points on the board and their defense isn’t terrible. They’ll be about where we are with us on the rise and them on the decline.

No doubt the Hawks still carry some weight, but as I mentioned before, they are one of the more overhyped teams in the league, at least as far as the media and public go. I think we not only can beat them, we will beat them come week 2. Feel the same about the Packers, altho they remain a formidable, playoff contending club, especially while they still employ the best QB in the NFL. But that's a winnable game as well.

My birthday usually coincides with when preseason starts. I think I’m more excited for the preseason this year.

Mine is February 1st and always around the Super Bowl. Was awesome as a kid... I'd have a Super Bowl/B-Day combination parties with my friends. Great memories.

Preseason
Kind of sad we don't get to see Trubs under center.
If only for a few plays.

Sounds awesome. Hopefully, this is the best bday party yet.

Jesus, Chase Daniel looks fucking awful.
Yeah, the pick where the receiver broke when Daniels thought he wouldn’t could’ve been on the receiver. From what I saw, I think this offense is going to struggle out of the gate.

Liked what I saw from Javon Wims, Kylie Fitts, Tyler Bray, Deon Bush, Tanner Gentry and Isiah Irving.

Our secondary is the deepest it's been in some time.

We are also suddenly pretty deep at WR too.

I have to say again, that I am pretty excited about this year. I think we are going to turn some heads.

Very much agreed. If I was to hand out game balls, they would have been to Irving on D, Wims on O, but the other players you mentioned also factored in greatly. I was really impressed with Wims. Man, if he can play this well thruout the preseason, he's a lock, no question about it.

Oh, and a few more things.
#1, I think we avoided any serious injuries, if any at all.
#2, I'm glad Nagy decided on going for 2 pts after our last TD. That would have sucked going into OT on a preseason game.
#3, even tho our side benefited the most tonite with the new helmet-leading penalty calls, a few of them seem to be rather bush. I have this gut feeling that there are going to way too many penalties like what we saw tonite for all teams, especially if they keep the rule as is.

As a Husker fan, I am required to not like Booger-eater, Chase Daniel. But as a Bears fan, this is pretty good.

Pace likes grabbing receivers that can’t catch
