Self-proclaimed Asshole
There's no way you can feel comfortable saying Ogando will hold up and make nearly all of his starts this year.
There's no way you can say he won't with any certainty.

I feel very comfortable putting it at 90% on him breaking down or having an arm or shoulder problem.
And I highly doubt you have the information or data to back that claim up.
I'm on my phone so no I'm not going to look up stats for you. He has broken down at the end of seasons in the past. I'm surprised you need stats to prove that. It's no secret.
Again, he's had a whopping two seasons where he entered the season as a starter. The first one he wasn't even stretched out until the last week of spring training. Not exactly a huge sample size to go from.[/QUOTE
I'm aware of that. We'll see I guess. I hope he does hold up. We can't afford any more injuries to our rotation. Which is why I think we should at least have some interest in Santana.
If I said put a $1000 on whether he will make all but let's say 3 starts, or miss more than 3 which side of the bet would you want?
I don't bet on something as unpredictable as a pitchers health. Has to be one of the most unpredictable things in the game.
I am just wondering how confident you are.
I expect him to be healthy until he's not.

Isn't that 2 out of 2 as a starter and only leaves 1 1/3 seasons otherwise? I am with you Romeo and Justin in that I like Ogando and hope he holds up but as Justin and Scotts commented I am not counting on him making it through the season. I will be really excited if he can make it to the All Star break.

He had 2011 where he made 29 starts, he didn't break down, he wore down, BIG difference
last year was the only year he was injured while trying to start on a regular basis, and then 2 years ago he made ONE start when he got hurt, and that was his groin, not even his arm
"He had 2011 where he made 29 starts, he didn't break down, he wore down, BIG difference"
100% correct. Huge difference since he never had started
