They meet in the ECF's and the Flyers sweep the Penguins to go on to lose to the Blackhawks.

After the season he gets bought out (the only way to keep the story going) and then he signs with the Flyers.

I know that Holmgren has an affinity toward two-way centermen, and the Flyers as an organization have always been enamored with Kesler - see the attempted buyout in '06. But their rumored involvement would only make sense if it is just a ploy to raise the asking price.

Anyone who watches the Flyers knows that their glaring weakness is - no, not goaltending, SURPRISE! - defense. They have some valuable cogs, but are clearly missing a puck mover; someone who can skate the puck out of the zone, or make that crisp outlet pass.

Brayden Schenn is finally blossoming into the player everyone thought he was going to be, and is only 22. While, I don't advocate trading him, he is the best and most realistic (they aren't moving Cooter, period) chip the Flyers possess. So why would they offer him, and more, for a shiny new toy that doesn't fill a need? If they indeed move him, it will be for help on the blueline.

You say that like the Flyers actually get powerplay opportunities. Don't you follow this sport? The league is against Philadelphia and the refs are to blame for everything.
