Great pic.

Rumblings around here are a possible Ehrhoff for Callahan swap.

Around here, It's Ehrhoff for Erixon and Marchessault plus a possible pick. Two prospects for a solid Blueliner. I'm good with it. And if Buffalo is rebuilding that's a better deal than Cally.

What were you looking for the Jackets to get at the deadline? Feel like I haven't watched them play in ages...

The biggest addition they can make IMO is to not trade Gaborik. He's top line NHL talent and they don't have to give up anything. If they think he wont resign, and there indications he wants to, then move him for another sniper. But JD and Jarmo don't do rentals. They said as much last year when they got him.

Tyutin being hurt and Winsniewski suddenly forgetting how to hockey muddies the water a bit. Another solid D man like Ehrhoff would be very welcome. But this team is set on d so much that two somewhat highly touted D prospects are expendable (Erixon and Golubef - possibly even Prout if they can get an Ehrhoff),

The big glaring issue with the roster is the giant chasm between Bob and Tabasco. A solid, veteran guy who can play 7 or so games the rest of this year, and 20-25 next year while helping Bob with the mental side of the game would be great. Therefore, NO Tim Thomas.

Hey, not a bad deal at all. But does Ehrhoff have Columbus on his list of teams?

Depends on who you listen to but the Umberger feud is supposedly all because RJ signed a bigger contract in Philly than Ryan got in Vancouver. Obviously, this is RJs side.

Kesler says it's because RJ laughed at the contract Kesler signed in Vancity and tried to use it to get more.

Either way, Kesler does sound like a bit of a whiner.

They hated each other in college. The rest just added on.
On that one, I am on kesler's side. Who the fuck holds out on an ELC? Prove yourself on the ice at least a little bit before showing your hand as a greedy bitch.

#NYR Captain Ryan Callahan is on the ice for pre-game warmups. Could this be his last game as a New York Ranger?

I think they were okay with each other in College. Not friends by any means but okay with each other.

Both of them have much be ashamed for on the contracts thing. One's a greedy douche, and the other is a whiny bitch because he is also a greedy douche and felt he could have made more.

No idea. All I can hope is he has "European Pride" and wants to play for Jarmo.

Hawks trade Brandon Pirri to Panthers for 2 draft picks. Quenneville never liked Pirri b/c of his defense. Led AHL in scoring last season.

Good move for both teams - Pirri wasn't getting a whole lot of time in Chicago so he'll get every opportunity in Florida

i recall some stories at the time the Nucks drafted Hamburger.
there's history there from before the draft, and it wasn't good.

still, who the fuck holds out on and ELC? so you go from $800k to $850k?

Can we get a trade going, orrrrrr? I know, I know, there's a few days left. But the rumor mill has never had so much fodder, and it's making me anxious.

I hope Tim Murray knows how to use the call waiting on his phone. I expect he'll be getting a ton of calls in the next 2+ days.

Rumo(u)rs are that they're actively shopping Ehrhoff, Myers, Stafford, Moulson, Halak, and Stewart, (I'm sure they've given up on shopping Leino) and that there's not a single player on the roster that Murray considers untouchable. I might put Girgensons on the untouchable list, but that would be it.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 19m
As per @Real_ESPNLeBrun, Callahan's latest offer to NYR is 6 years at south of $6.5M per. NYR appear to be holding line at $6M per.

If they're that close, I don't see him going anywhere.

Apparently though, I think Bob McKenzie or someone tweeted that this latest offer was offered like a few weeks ago so it's not like this is a new development

6/36 was made prior to the Olympics, it's not the recent offer. I still think he gets shipped off.
