That would be nuts. Kesler is a good player, but the injuries have worn him down. Edler has a long term deal at 5M per & a no trade clause. I read on some blog that a Vanek for Edler deal is possible. I really don't see how. Why in the World would Vancouver trade Edler for an UFA to be who's not going to resign with them. I had to laugh.

McKenzie also just said that Kesler and Edler are on the block in Vancouver and can see a Stepan or Ryan Johanson return for Kesler.

Players along that line will be what it takes for Kesler, though, don't see that happening.

I would laugh if little Timmy Erixon was on the move again.

It's almost a certainty. I mean, the starter with the most similar game is out and they call up Prout and not Erixon? Shows where he is on the depth chart. It'll be worse next year with Melart coming to camp with a year of European pro under his belt and Dillon Heatherington having a great year in Junior.

Timmy has impressed me with his maturity as a Jacket, and my daughter will forever love him for how nice he was to her, but he's just not going to get a shot here. Neither is Golubef. Especially if they get another top D talent like Erhoff.

Yep. Goodbye Timmy. The decision is made on him, I'd bet. And they want a look at Cody to see if they should pull the trigger on him as well.

hard to say he is so quiet in interviews so I dont really get a idea of his personality and how a market like that may affect his decision. if it was detroit he would be there today with the swede connection.

ugh... I mean Vanek is 30.. I just cant see that in the Canucks favour for the age. I know he is extremely talented but I dont think I do that, unless an actual full hockey deal can be done

No. It was some blogger who's story was posted on another site. Like I said I laughed when I read it. It makes no sense for either team.

There are apparently 6 teams interested in Vanek and I doubt Vancouver is one of them. I got that from MacKenzie yesterday. Garth has already turned down one serious offer.
