The ONLY way it is even remotely plausible that Joey gets traded anywhere is if he wants to go "home" so bad hes already told the Jackets he won't renew. If that's the case he's a moron because he'll have at least the next six years dishing the puck to Jenner and Horton. Maybe Gaborik. But even if he said he won't sign, all the Jackets have to do is wait for someone to offer sheet him and rake in the picks.

OR if he said he won't sign, they would be calling the teams that could use a #1 playmaking center with star potential which is, like, EVERYONE and get what they can. Certainly a shit load more than a busted ass older guy who already has an enemy in the Jackets locker room.

I think that the Leafs are going to sign him and I suspect that the deal that they sign him to is going to lead to me taking a little break and watching hockey for a couple of years without a rooting interest. I've gone through periods like that before, I will not do it again.

not sure if the injury or the return demands is more hampering, the injury will heal in time, thats a long term player for someone not a UFA and you CAN trade an injured player so I guess we will see.

I could see a three way deal where Kesler goes to Tampa, Callahan to Vancouver and Marty goes to NYR - maybe Vancouver gets another piece in that deal but that wouldn't be shocking

Kesler wouldn't have to be a first line center in Tampa, he could slide into the second line role and help the younger players out - the pressure wouldn't be immense on him like it is in Vancouver
