Either that or the Nucks are looking to move out one of their defenseman for some scoring help. Or both.

Weise sucks but I don't see the logic of this move on its own for the Canucks.

Bieksa is a +3. Diaz is -4. Maybe Bieksa will be available to teach him how to play defense.

Weise sucks but I don't see the logic of this move on its own for the Canucks.

Weise wasnt taking the body ... I kinda laugh at the Habs looking to get tougher and grittier adn Weise wasnt doing any of that .... they had offered Weise last week to all teams and couldnt get a buyer ... i thought they might waive him

instead they get a an asset on d (where they need a healthy body) with some upside ... he was playing top 4 minutes on the habs

Weber did leave the Canucks last game, but I haven't heard anything further. Tanev out with a fractured thumb as well, things are getting crowded in the Canucks infirmary.

The worst part is Weise being advertised as a guy who fights. Sorry Montreal, he doesn't want that to be his game style.

The Canucks have called up 2008 2nd round pick Yann Sauve, as Yannick Weber was injured last game against the Jets. Of course, the team is not disclosing the nature of the injury, except that he returned to Vancouver.
