It's been 3 years of this.
Maybe new blood reacts different. Hard to trust Josh and Elvis. Beltre has proven he is clutch. Scheppers does not seem to be hungry to change. Going to have to bring some new blood in

These announcers are huge excuse makers. I for one do not like to rah rah losses. They really need to hit the broadcast team minus a few

Face it. We are giving games away by starting Martinez and Harrison. And even more so by starting them in Colorado. Wandy should have started and Nick should be in AAA trying toget things figured out.

Hey Bennie, remember when I said Nick would regress, and hard? Call me fuckin' Nostradamus, eh? Guess the peripherals did tell the story. We sabremetric zealots don't know anything huh?
Calm down. Just take a deep breath. The story isn't finished yet. He may not amount to anything and then again he may be alright. It will be quite awhile before the jury is in though.

The kid has had 3 outings where he has given up more than 3 earned runs in just over half of a season this year and one of those was after only pitching 6 minor league innings in the previous 17 days. I will take that from the bottom half of my rotation most any year. Gallardo has had 3 of those as well and Colby has had 5 of them.

You will get plenty of opportunity to say "I told you so" later on if you are indeed right about him, but for now it seems a bit premature.

By the way, the term I have used is "OBP zealots" and not "sabermetric zealots." Let's keep that straight now. I think there is going to be a quiz at the end of the year.

I think Kela and Patton will do well. And still feel Freeman has improved. And we have wasted Bass. So there is more to be done there. But if we are going to put guys out there who get their butts kicked out of the gate then we better get used to this.

It was a valiant effort and all, but if you aren't down 7-0 to begin with, the game is a bit easier to try and come back and win. Starting Harrison and NMart IMO is saying we have nothing really left to play for this year, and I think it was the wrong message this early. So you give yourself the best chance to win and it doesnt happen, then you adjust to looking at guys next week. If Matt gives up fewer than 8 I am surprised

I've been seeking out help. Seems like my doctor is throwing darts down a dark hallway to see what sticks.
My son had similar problems and was finally diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. He had to suffer through it for several months though before they found out.

I look to guys to see if they habethe clutch gene. We have to weed out guys who underperform and don't come through when it counts

This year is about finding out about guys and that is exactly what we are doing, Martinez and Harrison included. I hope we can get the opportunity to find out about Rua playing everyday as well. We have to dump Choo to do so though or maybe simply bench him. It is time to sell off whatever pieces we can and continue to find out about some other guys.
