Tonight's game has been postponed due to rain.
2 seven inning DH games tomorrow.

The Mets, all too familiar with mother nature impacting their schedule, were dealt their eighth postponement of the season on Tuesday.

Ugghhh...Mets could only muster scoring 1 measly run after they had the bases loaded and no outs in the 4th.

McCann grounded into a force out at 3rd (while Conforto scored)....Villar & Almora both whiffed.

Apparently the new hitting coach is working wonders....lol

:L

2-1 Cards.....mid 4th.

Yikes...now it looks like Stro is about to give that 1 measly run right back...and then some...
Cards have 1st & 3rd...no outs, after b2b singles in the 4th.

edit: He strikes out the next batter......but now Matt (Met killer) Carpenter is in to PH for Kim.

They're at 2nd & 3rd now after a stolen base.

*Stro K's Carpenter for the 2nd out....but still needs 1 more.

edit: He got him. K'd the side.

Still 2-1, after 4.

LFGM!!!

Mets are stinking up the place with their befuddlement and their lack of anything resembling even basic comprehensive energy or mindset.

Lindor's failure at the plate is now creeping into his play in the field.
Committing a costly 2 out error......just prior to Stro allowing a 2 run HR in the bottom of the 5th.
They then proceed to go 1-2-3 in the top of the 6th.

Somewhere Chili Davis can only shake his head.

Jacob Barnes pitched a scoreless 6th for NY.

Mets now trail 4-1..heading to the 7th.

Gotta think Rojas is getting close to being on the preverbial hot seat...if he isn't already, and they're just keeping it all on the DL for now.

Something has to give......and soon.

Mets only managed to get a 2 out walk in the 5th.....and that's it.
They have just 2 hits in the game so far.
Lindor is still M.I.A. (now "hitting" .156)
What's frustrating is Rojas was being interviewed today and when asked when he'd bench Lindor or drop him in the lineup Rojas said it's not even a thought.

It's like the definition of insanity....ie: doing the same thing over and over and over again numerous times and not succeeding while expecting a different result.

Welp...that's all she wrote for the 1st game.
Mets go quietly 1-2-3 in the 7th and lose 4-1.
They ended with only 2 hits for the game.

The nitecap should be a real hoot.

I'll probably be watching much more of the Knicks/Nuggets game later.

Mets strike first, putting up 3 in the 2nd.
Smith singled & Pillar doubled....Villar & Peraza bloth flied out.
Smith scored with 2 outs from 3rd on a WP...and Tomas Nido hit a 2 run HR. (thanks,donnie...lol)
Mets sent in Pat Mazeika to PH for Castro....he grounded out.

Mets lead 3-0...mid 2nd.

Jordan Yamamoto is now on the mound for the Mets.

edit: He gave up b2b, 2 out hits, but Pillar gunned down the card's runner at the plate for the 3rd out.
