I'm listening to the WFAN broadcast... They've always been bad, but Sterling and Waldman need to retire. John is so low energy I can hardly tell what's going on, and he's getting players' names mixed up

Just not getting the timely hit tonight, stranded a runner at second in consecutive innings

Mets drop both games in the Bronx by the same 4-2 score.

Trainer's Room...

Mets INF Eduardo Escobar (left oblique strain) took batting practice and is near a return.
RHP Carlos Carrasco, who last pitched Aug. 15 due to a left oblique strain, is on track to return during the first week of September.

Up Next...

Mets are off on Wednesday. Big travel day back to Queens....LOL
RHP Jacob deGrom (2-1, 2.31) is to start Thursday's homestand opener against Colorado on six days' rest.
The Rockies have RHP Ryan Feltner (2-4, 5.89) listed as their starter.

So in about an hour or less from now our lead will be down to 1.5 games.
Are we gonna shit it all away with a little over a month to go?...or start playing consistent winning baseball again and increase the lead?
I guess we'll know more during this upcoming 10 game home stand (Rockies, Dodgers & Nats)..and then followed by a 6 game road trip (@ Pirates & @ Marlins). Could be make or break.

Braves just won't cool off. And it appears they have a slightly easier schedule down the stretch. Mets are just going to have to match them, and win the remaining head to head games.

To answer your question, yes, we probably will shit the lead away. It's what we do.
