After Howard has a great game and crushes a ball against a left-handed pitcher. I'm happy Ruf is getting the start, I would do the same thing. I just find it a little ironic.

Wait he hit the home run off a righty. I thought it was against Rex Brothers. He did get a hit against him though and he's not a pitcher to sneeze at.

I think Howard should have started because after 3 hits, one off a lefty, he may have found a groove. Maybe he figured out something and/or made an adjustment. Now he can only think about it on the bench. Ruf's 3-yr average off LHP is .224 "far" better than Howard's .212. But at least we'll get a look at Ruf. I hate platooning after a guy has 3 hits. Ryno's done it to Asche, Revere, and Howard.
