Turner bats 8th now?? Wooooooof
Talk around here is that he’s getting a Participation Trophy tonight. Somebody went viral with this idea that they should give Turner a standing ovation for his first AB instead of booing him.

It may actually happen. Then he whiffs on a non competitive pitch and the booing will commence haha.

He cant even hit Jordan Lyles.

You all need Nola to get it together fast too. Hes basically suriving tonight.

Nola is an enigma. I don’t trust handing him the ball in the playoffs. Some of his numbers are on point with where he’s always been. He has really been hurt by the long ball this year. Both of these pitchers are two of the league leaders in HRs given up.

If there is one silver lining, Nola and the Phillies couldn’t agree on an extension this winter. I hope they move on.

I cant believe they left him in. Middle of the order, 3rd time through. Over 80 pitches. Laboring.

Mental.
He’s done that all year with him trying to bleed outs and I can see some of that as he’s trying not to put too many innings on this pen and they still have 12 outs available hitting against Royals pitching.

Now 4-4 with Marte giving up a gapper.

Nice to see Max Fried return yesterday for the Braves, he pitched 6 shutout innings against the Cubs. He’s a very good pitcher when healthy, and hopefully he’ll give a nice boost to the Braves rotation going forward.

I could see the Yankees doing something like this soon the way they have been playing

Another Strider implosion.

Guy cant stop the floodgates in big innings. Thats why his ERA is like a run higher than his FIP.

Hamels officially retires... very good pitcher. Probably one of the best outside of Cooperstown
I think he compares favorably to Jack Morris.

It won’t be first ballot and it may take a long time, but I think an argument can be made for him to be considered one of the top 10 starters of his generation of pitchers.

My favorite career highlight of Hamels was hitting Bryce Harper for no reason then admitting to it in a press conference

Also, why does he have a Padres hat in his Baseball Reference page?

I think that was his last team? Not sure why it’s the Padres.

Congrats to Michael Lorenzen for his 124 pitch, 4 walk, no hitter tonight. What a thrill to watch.
