Anyone else getting sick of the refs handing the eagles games every week. Same shit again this week. 3 times as many penalties on the opponents then on the eagles. Slay tackled a WR on one play about 3 seconds before the ball got there and no penalty.

NFL is a joke. Eagles and Chiefs are in the SB again guaranteed. Sorry to disappoint everyone else but we are just playing for kicks this season. Noone else will be allowed to win.
That fumble call on Hurts was fucking bullshit. There's the league again trying to get Eagles players hurt chasing dead footballs because the refs are too blind to see it and too stupid to blow the whistle.

FWIW, the Chiefs RT is actually leading the league in penalties. We actually just played a game against the Raiders where the refs called zero penalties on the Raiders.

I'm not sure the refs are competent enough to rig games

Are the Eagles getting some head scratching calls by refs that are helping them win games? Yes
Is it odd that they seem to be benefitting almost weekly and the proportion of penalties called for and against seem ridiculously slanted? Yes
Is it on purpose or a sign the refs and the league are cheating to make the Eagles win? Of course not

The eagles game was atrocious. They basically flagged the bills every 3rd play for whatever. At least 3 ghost PI calls, the missed horse collar on Allen and then to call intentional grounding with an RB 5 yards in front of him. Missed PI calls on eagles CBs to add insult to injury.
You don’t know the horse collar rule or the intentional grounding rule. Hilarious

Dam, I just walked out my house and got hit with a flag!
They picked the flag up. It’s not a violation to be gay anymore. You’re good to go, Twink

Does the #1 seed really matter all that much when the NFC is so top heavy? It seems like its a way bigger deal in the AFC

says the guy in green colors glasses. Even announcers and the retired ref said it is textbook horse collar
So let me guess this straight. Arguing about calls of flawed officials and you cite an official as your evidence?

This is a horse collar tackle.

The rule was instituted because it’s a safety issue. When a player from behind grasps the shoulder pads and then brings down their weight to the ground it takes legs out from underneath players and threatens torn ligaments in knees and ankles and even broken legs.

That’s not the play with Allen. Reddick has his hands on front of the jersey and back of the jersey and essentially helicopters him to the ground. This isn’t a horse collar. Casuals think any grab to the back of the ball carrier’s pads is a horse collar. It isn’t.

Yes. It’s a coveted week off in a physically demanding sport. It’s home field advantage throughout the playoffs. It’s the chance to reseed when the Lio…when somebody loses a home game in round 1 of the playoffs.

At the end of the day, 95% chance the NFC win won by the Eagles, Cowboys or Niners. If those are the 1, 2, and 5 seeds then the biggest improvement to your odds of winning is to have two of those teams plays each other and have your team play the winner. The 1 seed, best I can tell needs the 3 seed to lose to avoid Eagles/Cowboys.

The chances of making a Super Bowl go up exponentially with the bye.

Its just that I can see why Cowboys fans are on here like 'eh, it is what it is' when it comes to the refs. At the end of the day, the top teams are almost certainly going to throw down unless someone chokes or another NFC Contender emerges (Goff stops turning it over, for example)

Most projections have the NFC #2, #3, & #5 seeds winning the Wild-Card match-ups. If so the #1 seed will have to beat both the #5 and then the #2 seed.

Same projection last year and the Eagles saw the 6th or 7th seeded Giants. I think whoever sees the Lions in their first playoff game in forever is a live dog that weekend.
