EB called the game as if the giants were going blitz heaven like the first game. Well the giants didn’t blitz as much and eb never adjusted

sure but it wasn't eb's fault that the offense had 6 turnovers and it should have been 7

Dan Quinn is the best on that list if you ask me. He has HC experience and has proven to be a good DC.
can he handle a young qb like howell ? , RR was a defensive coach and i have had enough of that but quin should be considered

Quinn might not want to deal with the headache of a total rebuild.

If I were Quinn and was at that point in my career, I would stay put.

Would love to have Quinn if he is hired but I don't see it.

well, if EB stood on, he wouldn't have too. If Dallas loses in the first round of the playoffs, McCarthy could get fired and they could promote Quinn to HC.

Just a thought.. but aren't we on the verge of seeing someone with a similar Head coaching record dismissed for mediocrity?

Dan Quinn (American football) - Wikipedia
43–42

Dan Quinn (American football)
Dallas Cowboys
Head coaching record
Regular season:43–42 (.506)
Postseason:3–2 (.600)
Career:46–44 (.511)

IMHO, the next head coach should have an offensive background.Like Gibbs he should be young, fresh and associated with current offensive football trends.

I'd try my best to do anything to pry away McDaniel from the Dolphins. Don't know if it can be done, but I would try

Pass on Defensive Head Coaches they don't work in todays NFL
Interesting that you posted that! While I agree with you, I'm interested to know if your position came from studies, instinct, or general observation.

Here's why I say that he should be offensive-minded...

In the current NFL landscape, teams with offensive-minded head coaches are more likely to succeed. For instance, all four head coaches in the conference championship games come from an offensive background. Moreover, the top-ranked head coaches for the 2023 season, such as Andy Reid and Sean McVay are known for their offensive strategies.

However, this doesn’t mean that defensive-minded coaches can’t find success. Coaches like Mike Tomlin and Sean McDermott, who are defensive-minded, also have been very successful.

It’s important to note that success in the NFL can depend on a variety of factors, including the talent of the players, the support of the management, and the ability of the coach to adapt to changing circumstances. So, while trends may favor offensive-minded coaches at the moment, the game dynamics are always evolving.

THAT'S MY TAKE, but here's support for that take! (It's a 2021 article)

Who succeeds more in the NFL: Offensive-minded or …

WebJan 6, 2021 · For four out of the last six years, defensive-minded coaches finished with a better overall record. For the other two—including a huge disparity in 2018—offense reigned supreme.

I love the thought, but I'm curious as to what you see it taking to get him?

It depends on what you mean by defensive coaches. Demeco Ryans was a defensive player but I would not call him a defensive coach.

Demeco Ryans was the DC for San Fran and he brought Bob Slowick from San Fran to be OC.

Pass on Quinn. No defensive head coaches.

Its an offensive league.

That being said, Quinn is doing yeoman’s work with the Cowboys.

He should stay there and continue to figure out new ways to deploy Parsons.

In truth, this says a lot more about the mentality of the players than anything Bieniemy is doing. The likes of Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce had no problem with his methods, so it's another big reason why this roster needs gutting from top to bottom.

Actually, he and mahomes did have issues In 2022. It was reported back then. Andy Reid had to step in.
