Bears need an OT and so do we. If they give up the 9 it would be knowing they are going to miss out on the best OT.
Well they need an edge rush too. So if they give 9 for 14 and get Uche they could still get a solid OT and add an edge rush.

Not that I see this happening it was a would you question?

The answer nobody wants:

Don't know until draft day. Maybe?

Looks like the Bills are now targeting DHop. How the hell do they have any cap room?

That's what happens when we drag our feet. When BB signed JuJu I had the vibe the interest in DHOP was lost. And we have to remember that DHOP and BOB are not the best of friends no matter what anyone says.

Jordan Reid, NFL draft analyst: WR JuJu Smith-Schuster to the New England Patriots. The Patriots needed wide receiver help, but with Jakobi Meyers getting an identical contract from the Raiders, why not just re-sign him? Smith-Schuster is coming off a productive season with the Chiefs, but Meyers is still the better player.

I'm ok with that. Dhop is a diva who doesn't like to practice. The Pats are a team. Even Brady wasn't excluded.

I think I'd like to dip my toe in the Juedy pool. Big questiin is what's he going to cost?
He hasn't lived up to his potential. Maybe BoB, Troy and BB can find some magic there? Take a flyer on him if it pays off great. He had his best year last year even with terrible play from Wilson.

Didn't Jeudy play under BOB at BAMA? If so I have to assume BOB knows how to utilize Jeudy's skill sets!

It has nothing to do with the quality of the WRs, it's all about the money. BB ain't paying DHop $17.5M for the next two years nor is he going to give Jeudy a $15M contract when his rookie deal is done. That and the cost, a 1st rounder is a bit rich for Jeudy.

Look at the Jets, trying to load up for Aaron Rogers. Except they for some reason think that the Pack will drop their asking price of a first and second round pick. So they're loading up on second rounders expecting that Pck will drop the price down to the Jets offer of 2 second rounders. No one is watching John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan who just might slither in and pay the asking price and leave the Jets holding their groin.

Except...it's not an identical contract.
Juju's contract is much more incentive laden while Meyer's has more guaranteed.
Meyer's was super reliable for us with catching the ball, Juju has a history of much greater YAC.

I loved Jakobi, but I think it was a good move.

I still think it's a wash. I don't think there is enough difference between the two. And Mac had an established repour' with Jakopbi, I would rather have kept the guy Mac was already comfortable with.

I think I read it's a few million a year in incentives, that's pretty big.
An established repour that was too many times 1 yard shy of a first down and no Yards After the Catch.

Just changing that would have taken us into the playoffs.

You cannot blame the play calling on the QB or WR. You can claim 1 yard shy but it's hard to place that blame on Jakobi when the O line could not block forcing Mac to release the ball early. If all things are equal then I would prefer the known quantity in the familiar system, but that to is likely to change. As I have stated Mac has been placed in a bad position with three OCs in three years. So maybe JuJu works out time will tell.

Yes. There were a multitude of issues on offense last year.

But when a receiver is open on the far sideline and the QB gets him the ball, that's not the Oline 's fault if the receiver cannot get any yards after that.
It is the WR's fault and maybe the coaches fault for calling a bad play, or maybe they are giving tells as to what the play will be, again a coaching problem.
Not Mac's fault, not oline's fault.

Forget Dhop. I'd like to try a young Jeudy coming off a good season.
He could just be coming in to his own.
23 years old, I get a lot more excited about him than Dhop.
Absolutely do not give up a 1st round pick for him.
If we were that desperate, we could use that #1 on a #1 WR in the draft.

Well if that is the way you see it okay. I think you are using selective memory as it relates to Jakobi, but I really don't want to banter back and forth with this. The forum was already turned into and shit show this week do to 50+ year bitches not knowing when to shut the fuck up
