No disagreement there.

So Cal, Baton Rouge or Norman? Not so crazy the guy chose USC....for shit tone more money and not fear based.

I mean, the final number appears to be 10 years for $110 million, plus USC buying his house in Oklahoma for $500,000 over the asking price, buying him a reported $6 million home in LA and unlimited use of a private jet for his family. Just the salary alone is more than most NFL head coaches are getting.

Add to that the weather, recruiting ground, etc....and the decision becomes fairly easy.

Just a rumor and I'd be shocked, but......top 2 WR in draft calss
That would be crazy. His draft stock is already high, probably 1st but he could be top 10 possibly if he were to ball out next season. Boutte is another WR that would be up for that #1 WR in the class

Kelly only got 10 years and $90. Not too different from his ND salary (about 2 mil a year). It’s clear Kelly was done with ND

Yep, and to be fair, USC fans are going to look at this a little differently for obvious reasons. But some of the things that OU fans are coming up with seem a bit far fetched.

Yet it’s being talked about nationally across the country

Yeah, the sentiment re: Kelly is that he feels that he had maxed out what he could accomplish at ND and wants to win an NC.

It's being talked about across the country because we have twitter, tiktok, etc. and OU fans are having a very public epic meltdown.

It was already going to be a big story because it's 2 blue bloods...but the OU fan meltdown is what continues to feed the story.

and it's likely all because Riley just not the guy they thought he was. I can remember all the "he wont go to the NFL........This is his home and he wont leave" comments. True, he didn't go to the NFL but clearly he is like many and saw an opportunity and took it.

Well damn. Figured with a big name coaching hire this would improve. After all N.D. is N.D., a national brand. Alotta kids wanna play there.

ND actually cares about academics and has higher recruitment standards as a result. Limits their recruiting.

Gonna try a lettuce wrap sammich this week @trojanfan12.....cheating today with sugar but trying to limit my carb intake so I don't die anytime soon.

This getting old shit sucks. Didn't sign up for this.

I've been using Sola bread, 2 net carbs per slice. Smaller than standard bread, so I just stack it higher lol.

I guess I should've specified RELEVANT program, lol...

To be fair, BYU is "relevant adjacent". lol

They are technically probably a high end G5 school, but playing them gets counted as a P5.

Being talked about makes it gospel?

Like I said, we will see. Smoke equals fire a lot of times. Those of us that have followed this program our whole lives knew something was wrong this year.

Can anyone explain this bizarre logic?

Over on that other site meeeechegan super-homer maizeNblue09 said UofM would have beaten Ohio State last year because of what happened this past weekend.
Easy enough to explain, m'man...

Top 10 probably puts you on a weaker team with a weaker QB though. That ego can lead you down the wrong path, if that's why he might stay.

Everything you are posting is a bunch of emotion based stuff intended to smear Lincoln Riley and try to make Sooners fans feel better about losing him.

What I don't see, is anyone saying why him taking a higher paying job in a better (for him) location is wrong. I don't see anyone saying anything about OU apparently being given the chance to match LSU and choosing not to, or what he should have done differently (besides not leave). Also, which of these Sooners fans aren't leaving their current job if offered double their current salary in a nicer location.

I'm not even saying that any of it hasn't happened, but right now...with no actual proof to back anything up...it just looks like massive butthurt.
