And Quantril had a really good year, but he is not near elite. He doesn’t miss that many bats and his ERA indicators are all around 4, implying that he probably got lucky to post the ERA he did last season.

Maybe he is one of those guys who can beat the peripherals every year, but heck no he isn’t “near elite”.

Does look like a solid starter though, I will give you that.

because the pitching is good enough to contend is why I said it. I mean, we were a .500 team last year with guys in and out of rotation all season. That was with garbage hitting other than 3-4 guys.

If you want to counter they are not good enough? That's fine. Only an opinion....they can then spend some of the $70 mil+ on a pitcher or 2 if they feel the need

He said all of the right things, but I wasn't buying it when he said moving to the SEC had nothing to do with his decision.
