What a year by Brian Kelly and Notre Dame. That team has serious flaws. They replaced 9 guys drafted. They lost 4 of 5 starting offensive lineman. Replaced a QB that won 30+ games in his ND career. Replaced a great defensive coordinator. And they found a way to get to 11-1. That makes 54-9 for Kelly and Notre Dame over the last 5 years. I still don’t think they’re a playoff team. But the fact that they have a chance is amazing. The Irish owe me nothing this year. They absolutely over achieved. Hell of a season.

Meanwhile at the other place they were complaining about nd saying they should have been 12-0 with the schedule lol

Not a playoffs team yet but things can happen on Saturday to change that

No doubt. Truth be told, I don’t think there are really 4 “playoff teams” this year. To me it seems like it’s Jawja and everybody else.

Gonna heat up this skyline chili later and eat it with some tortilla chips.

Fuck the noodles thing though.

True, but the same colleges getting the "glory"...
Cincinnati this season possibly getting is making this go round interesting to me...
I think there will be teams left out who would beat Cinci (maybe easily) but still think they need to let Cincy in if they win out as when else will they get their shot?

could definitely make that argument but who have they beaten who is all that impressive? Arkie? Beat Bama and it's a different story.

See, and this is why I give you a hard time when you do.

You have no ability to comprehend the human element of officiating.

The official who is there to make the call had a bad angle, shielded with the receiver’s body between him and the defender.

I would guess that is a mistake on his part, but I also don’t know enough about football official positioning to make that judgement.

When the official is out of position, they can’t be 100% certain of the obvious foul we see in slow motion replay.

And most people aren’t going to make a game deciding call unless they are sure of it.

I think you should give officiating a try. Maybe then you can develop some empathy for those who do it at the highest level.

I have enough experience officiating to know that it is incredibly hard.
while I often agree with your argument in these discussions (it is incredibly hard), I think you are going overboard with that one. Hell, if the line judge from way back at LOS turned around to watch the pass even he could see the DB never turned around and held/pushed the receiver.

It's OK to say he clearly missed that one...because he did.

I can definitely agree with this....and, yes, if someone wants to say might be other teams who would lose 0-1 with their schedule I can agree with that, too. But can only play the schedule they give ya. Not ND's fault, either, that some on their schedule expected to be good were not.

I think Georgia’s biggest argument is that proverbial eye test. They’re elite in many areas of the game.

Yep. USC North Carolina and Wisconsin all opened top 15 and fell apart.

The officiating thing is off the hook. TN just had to challenge a play where their wide receiver dove without being touched and went on into the end zone. Clear td but they called him down even though no one was near him.

Hard to say playing mostly weak teams but in their defense they do blow out everyone for the most part.

This is a new jersey for the N.J. Devils designed by Martin Brodeur.

Heard good things about the chili from a bunch of people. But noodles with it sounds weird.

I can't stand that slop. First time I had it was back in early 90's when I went to a Browns/Bengals game in Cincy.
