I was right about this Saints team.....LOL.

Eh, not exactly.

Pretty sure You said they couldn’t be good with Jameis Winston.

They were on track to be in the playoffs and win 10+ with Jameis.

Not many teams can survive losing their starting QB and their best (only) skill player

But now they do suck.

Winston was not going to go a season without blowing up, wasn’t happening.

Yup that last one in 76 it rained so hard they sent the teams to the locker room. The fans stormed the field and were sliding on the field and eventually took down a goalpost. There was 18 inches of water standing on the field anyway so they cancelled it. That’s my only remembrance of a college all star game lol.
I had started watching NFL/CFB by then but no recollection of watching that one.

Hey @bksballer89 and people see why we call out the refs. They don’t know the rules anymore. DB made the mistake of not turning his head but played perfect coverage and it gives LV the win instead of a punt. This can’t happen
Only thing I'd say about this is while they certainly screw up (often huge gaffes) fans don't take into account how tough it is. I didn't see this play (so not sure it it was near sideline or not?) but if near sideline the ref needs to see if the receiver catches the ball, maintains control through the catch, keeps feet in bounds (hard to see feet AND if he has control), if DB interferes with arms/hands, was he looking back at the ball...all with incredibly fast players. If not near sideline the rest applies other than feet in bounds.

Talking about a bad call here and there is 1 thing.

Saying they are bad at their jobs is ignorant.

It is the latter that I am pushing back on.

Also, saying an NFL official doesn’t know the rule is ridiculous. Of course he knows the rule. He just saw the play differently than you did.
also on a play like that he does not get the benefit of reversing it with a replay.

Winston was not going to go a season without blowing up, wasn’t happening.

He was always going to have a couple bad games that would prevent the Saints from winning.

But absolutely no doubt they were a much better team, and a team capable of making the playoffs with Jameis.

Highly unlikely they're on a 4 game losing streak with Jameis. That Titans game was there to be had with a mediocre QB. Falcons game, I think they win as well.

In every one of his starts, Sieman did nothing for 3 quarters then want to play better when the opponent defense got soft

Most underrated player in football. Not only were they capable of making the playoffs with Jameis, they would have had a great chance to win the division. Remember they were a half game behind Tampa after their win vs Tampa

I disagree.

I want to like Winston

But last year’s TB sb win said a lot more about Winston than it did about Brady

No it didn’t.

Brady is still an upper tier QB. Winston is a below average starter.

That was a loaded roster that Winston did nothing with

Brady was ok.

It became loaded after Brady signed.

Gronk, AB, Fournette, etc.

They were just a solid roster before Brady.

Lot of smoke about LSU going to pay Lincoln Riley 12 mil a year and just completely blow the doors off of coaches salaries.
