i have full faith in Berry and DePodesta being able to manage the cap.

Ward, Baker and Chubb all need to be extended and it wont be cheap.

I think Ward and Baker for sure get extended with solid 2021 seasons. Chubb? Might get done before season and obviously as fans we hope it does. But if he wants the last dollar not sure they'll give it to a RB. Cannot recall many big money RB deals where the team didn't regret it well before it was over.

We'll see.

Saw it when it happened. What happened when he landed the kick was bad enough, but then he stepped back on it...

Yep. You don't really notice the break live or in the tweet I posted, but I saw a slowed down clip and his leg basically wraps around like a wet noodle upon impact. Brutal stuff

Yeah, they showed it twice in slo-mo after it happened and even gave a "may be disturbing to some viewers/children" warning before they did.

I watched it once. Like I said, the initial break was bad enough, when he stepped back on it...yeah, wasn't interested in seeing that twice.

I was asking my son about it because he's doing MMA training and he said that he's actually surprised that doesn't happen more often when the kind of kick the Weidman used is checked successfully.

gotta give it up for the Padres...not using the small market excuse. Had a window and went all in.
