Nah. What he said was braggadocious. He was hyping up a secondary as one of the best in the NFL (yet we saw the same cast of characters get worked last season, but I digress). I pushed back on that idea. I was just putting an unabashed Homer in his place. You know the guy…on a Monday he’s all “I’m glad the Browns didn’t trade for that piece of shit Watson” and now he’s all “ignoring the third party judge is awful. No charges were brought.”

Homers need to be grounded.
Our DBs are among the best in the game if you didn't know. You pushed back by saying your receivers lit up those DBs when the DBs did not even play and you still have not shown any evidence your starters even "lit up" the reserve DBs.

The lit them up came from Philly beat writers who we know actually know the game of football because how else would they be employed to write for a readership that actually knows the game of football.

See ya guys tomorrow? Or maybe it will dawn on you guys between now and then that I’m trolling the fuck out of you daily. Holy shit you’re easy. I baited my hook for bass and lo and behold I’ve got a big Fucking tuna on the line in addition to the bass. Good times.
cool...can we see the report they lit them up?

what you did was your usual schtick of making a foolish comment, getting called on it and not owning the foolish comment.

if I have to choose between you and pro football focus- I will probably choose pro football focus, lol.

3. CLEVELAND BROWNS

CB: Denzel Ward
CB: Greg Newsome II
NCB: Greedy Williams
S: John Johnson III
S: Grant Delpit

This unit not only has proven studs in Ward and Johnson, but also three ascending top-50 draft picks who have all played two or fewer NFL seasons. What this unit could be is scary to think about, as we already saw quality play from Newsome, Williams and Delpit down the stretch in 2021.

#8: Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns

Starters: CB Denzel Ward, CB Greedy Williams, NB Greg Newsome II, FS John Johnson III, SS Grant Delpit

Key Additions: CB Martin Emerson

Key Departures: CB Troy Hill

Last season, Cleveland ranked first in PFF’s team coverage metric, and opposing quarterbacks had just a 71.8 passer rating when throwing at the Browns’ outside cornerbacks. Denzel Ward agreed to a well-deserved five-year, $100.5 million extension with $71.5 million guaranteed, making him the second-highest-paid cornerback in the league. Greedy Williams has been solid in coverage, while Greg Newsome II played excellent football in his rookie season. The level of success of those two made the Browns confident enough to move on from Troy Hill this offseason. John Johnson III wasn’t as good in his first season with the Browns as he was in his breakout contract year in LA, but he and Grant Delpit form a solid safety tandem. The level of success of those two made the Browns confident enough to move on from Troy Hill this offseason. Overall, this should be one of the better secondaries in the NFL once again.

@fightinfunbags take the L.......lol.

4. Cleveland Browns

Like the teams ahead of them, the Cleveland defense features a lockdown CB1 (Denzel Ward) and solid complementary pieces around it. Ward generated 14 total forced incompletions and pass breakups and three interceptions last season in 534 snaps. 2021 rookie Greg Newsome and second-year corner Greedy Williams each tied for the team lead in forced incompletions (9)

Out of the first 4 that I saw---- they have the Browns secondary tied for 3rd, 4th, 4th, and 8th

but in closed practices the backups didnt do well in 7 on 7 for 3 days against the EAgles. SUPPOSEDLY....... LOL.

like I said- TAKE THE L and move on.

2. Cleveland Browns

Featuring additions from both the John Dorsey and Andrew Berry regimes, the Browns boast a true CB1 (Denzel Ward) and depth around him. Cleveland has first-round corner Greg Newsome capable of playing outside and in the slot and ex-second-rounder Greedy Williams in the mix as well. The team can also throw a premier three-safety look that features John Johnson, Grant Delpit, and Ronnie Harrison. Delpit should have another level to reach after he missed his 2020 rookie year, and Johnson has shown more than what he put on tape last year. If only this team rostered a quarterback not ticketed for a multi-month suspension.

6. Cleveland Browns

Although some of the talent in Cleveland’s secondary is unproven, it is full of potential. The unit may reach a higher level if Greedy Williams can improve his performance or if Martin Emerson emerges.

I think they are going to ruin Rings of Power by going woke.

If you watched the first episode of House of the Dragon- there are some valid criticisms- but being woke SURELY is not one of them .....lol. @Mecca

They gotta stay healthy. That's the key.

for sure.

They have put a lot of resources into the secondary the last couple years and have put together a lot of talent. Lets hope they stay healthy. They should get some very nice help from their defensive ends pressuring the QB which def. helps too.

Emerson's pic--6 was pretty awesome vs. Jville- he has good size which is something they kind of needed- he should be a good addition once he gets comfortable.

The Jet's took Ken O'Brien in that same draft. At the time Blackledge was the consensus #1 pick. No one even heard of the college O'Brien came from much less heard of him.
A rare Cyder sighting in the NBA forum....

Lordy.....

Yeah, I'm in....lol

Couple of things that stood out to me...

The Main characters all seem like an amalgamation of 2 different GOT characters.

Viserys is obviously Ned Stark/Robert Bar rat he on

Rhaenyra is Danny/Arya

Daemon -Oberon Martell/Stannis

Otto Hightower- Little Finger/Tywin Lanister

Alicent -Cersei/Sansa

Also, why am I getting romance vibes between Alice t and Rhaenyra?

I'm good with he Corliss Valerian casting because he looks a so fucking cool with those white.dreads.....lol

But, it was so unnecessary.

All they needed to do is wait until Nettles pops up to give us a significant person of color.

What's the woke backlash about rings of power?

Did they go the diversity casting route as well?

I generally find this practice annoying.

But, there are certain actors that are worthy of gender/race changes.

Samuel L is so good as Nick Fury that they actually changed the character in the comics to look like him.

Giancarlo Esposito is one of the best actors of the last 2 decades.

Dude is being cast as Magneto in the X-Men reboot and even the toxic Dude-bro, anti-woke fanboys are all in on that shit.

Ditto for Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon.

But, they are exceptions for me.

Just doing that shit for the sake of avoiding the " This show is to white" cancel culture is fucking insulting, if its not a choice that's beneficial to the story.
