I dont care if you have Ronnie Lott, Deion Sanders, Polamalu and Champ Bailey in your secondary- if you dont get pressure- you can have the best 2ndary in the world and your secondary wont hold up.

if you dont know that about football- not much I can do to help.
Great point. 7 on 7 and individual drills are a great tool in assessing pass rush. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. It’s probably why I didn’t successfully fix my flat tire this weekend. I should have been using a garden hose and an abacus.

Truth be told, I didn’t really read an update on Brissett. He’s a marginal QB that matters little to me.
I did read an update and saw he played well...against your first teamers no less. I don't think much of it but by your "logic" shouldn't that concern you?

I don't care to evaluate anyone on practices but I will say, Anthony Schwartz looked great in practice and he drops every ball in an actual game. Just saying. That being said, no excuses for Hurts this season. He has a very solid WR/TE core and he can thrive if he improves. I'm not a huge fan of him as a starting QB for years to come but I admire how he handled basically being thrown around in college.

I think Schwartz is a bust. It's a wrap.

Let alone on a practice he didn't even witness.

Maybe he can turn into a reliable return man? He can't get more than 5 on jet sweeps LOL
Kid's only 21 I wouldn't write him off just yet as seems like he can get open......if he runs the right pattern :noidea:

Obviously he will never be on that level but remember how many called Chase a bust when he kept dropping passes in preseason last year?

I guess I would have to read the article. Reading this board I’m not very impressed with the overall informed nature of Cleveland fans. Shit, I had to tell Wiggy what a defensive end does. Yikes. So as a result, should I really trust Cleveland sports media? Tough call.

It’s alright man. Every football coach from middle school to the NFL trains and instructs through 7 on 7. But yeah it’s nothing. It’s worthless. Every coach in the country is killing time and stealing money.

Yeah he’s the Udonis Haslem of the NFL QB position. Not a fan of Hurts at all

I mean, you keep mentioning Myles but continue to ignore most of our best CBs did not partake in the practices you wet your pants over.

Cool......so maybe you have time to consider the actual starting CBs who did not play in the practices?
Sure. But what does that have to do with the conversation you interjected into? I made a comment about Wiggy letting the Browns secondary taking turns bukkaking on his grill. I said hold on a minute…a very average NFL receiving corp and a sub par QB lit them up. He then starts talking about Myles Garrett being out. Weird.

I get you sometimes have trouble keeping up with...well......you, but the conversation "I interjected into" was wiggy saying our D will need to help win games with Brissett and also mentioning the DBs are pretty darn good (post 21,983) then you saying the following....

"From what I read this week, AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Quez Watkins and Dallas Goedert feasted and they did that with a subpar QB."

Now it's true we both had the crazy notion you were talking about the game and not a practice you did not even see but either way, many of the top DBs (or other defenders) to whom he was referring were not participating. Never mind I still have not seen even a report that they "lit them up"

Nah. What he said was braggadocious. He was hyping up a secondary as one of the best in the NFL (yet we saw the same cast of characters get worked last season, but I digress). I pushed back on that idea. I was just putting an unabashed Homer in his place. You know the guy…on a Monday he’s all “I’m glad the Browns didn’t trade for that piece of shit Watson” and now he’s all “ignoring the third party judge is awful. No charges were brought.”

Homers need to be grounded.

The lit them up came from Philly beat writers who we know actually know the game of football because how else would they be employed to write for a readership that actually knows the game of football.

See ya guys tomorrow? Or maybe it will dawn on you guys between now and then that I’m trolling the fuck out of you daily. Holy shit you’re easy. I baited my hook for bass and lo and behold I’ve got a big Fucking tuna on the line in addition to the bass. Good times.
