21 points as "feasting" is odd- esp. considering they were playing AJ Brown, and Devonta Smith against a Browns defense who did not play their top 4 DB's,- and their depth- Emerson and Green left with injuries- and none of their big pass rushers played.

but hey- you take those preseason accolades!
I see the disconnect now. You don’t know what you’re talking about. The Eagles and Browns got together for joint practices on Thursday and Friday competing good vs good and ones vs ones. This is the new preseason in the NFL. Starters rarely play the games but in these joint practice sections they go mostly live (no hits on QB; contact is not to the ground contact). The report that came out of Thursday and Friday is that the Eagles pass catching options dominated vs the Browns secondary in drills, 7 on 7, and team scrimmage.

not that it means much- but this outlet has the browns as 4th for secondary units in the league.

it should be any surprise with Ward, Newsome, John Johnson III

here is PFF-- ranked them as #3
Nice! The Eagles WR corp may be better than I had anticipated if they were able to dominate this group last week. Good stuff. Thanks.

one of the all time great Cleveland Indians pitchers - and a hall of famer is a guy name Gaylord Perry.

he did not name his son Gaylord- since ya know- he is not insane.
Great pitcher. What were his parents thinking, like seriously

That's cool but reports we hear are Ward and Newsome didn't play much in the scrimmages. Myles was out, as well. Likely others but not sure.

But, sure, rather hear about guys playing well than not.

Was Myles Garrett out there?

no?

I know Ward was not.

all righty then.
Myles Garrett is what they call in football a defensive end. Defensive ends are not considered secondary positions. You should give football a shot. It’s really an entertaining sport. Maybe your girlfriend can help you learn the rules.

ward is a DB (also don't think DB Newsome practiced much). DEs put pressure on the QB so see if you can figure out why having him could matter.

Reading some articles about the practices it sounded like Brissett looked good. Anointing him or maybe want to see it for yourself (preferably in a real game)?

Missing a DE doesn’t come into play when assessing secondary play in WR v DB drills and in 7 on 7. A DE being out has zero impact on that. Even in a controlled 11 on 11 situation, the QB is off limits. Sure, they can blow a play dead if a sack is projected in that scenario.

And the Eagles at the S position are in dire straits on the Brisset comment

Bottom line, it was a preseason game. It doesn't count in the standings...

Make your adjustments, then your roster cuts, and move on...

cool, but this was the first comment you made wetting your pants on the WRs vs. DBs....

"From what I read this week, AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Quez Watkins and Dallas Goedert feasted and they did that with a subpar QB."

You also mentioned "team scrimmages".

And you keep ignoring Ward (and likely Newsome) who is a DB did not practice.
