Wife and I just gave the new A League of Their Own series a shot. We got like 4 episodes in before we bailed because of what you cited. It wasn’t a story that organically worked in a character that is lesbian. It really was just an agenda driven series that became all about closeted lesbianism.Agree.
Its so ridiculous.
I get the need for representation.
But, let the shit be organic if its an original story and just stay true to the character if its based on a book or the comics.
Disney is a great example of getting it right and getting it needlesly wrong.
They did a fantastic job acknowledging Loki's bisexuality on his Disney plus show.
But, they fucked it all to hell in Light year and the Eternals.
One of the best portrayal's of a truly awesome Gay Character was on the show Banshee.
Job was a poc and flaaaaaaaaaming hot gay.
But, he was written and the actor played the part in such a way that you barely even recognize that he is a goddamn Asian Dude, dressed like a Geisha girl, or a contestant on Ru Paul's drag race in every single episode.
It was so organic and he was such a badass that he's usually everyone who watches the show's favorite character.
That's how you do mainstream gay. It enhanced his character, it wasn't just crammed In there for shits and giggles.
Agree.

Did you know that PFF doesn’t even have access to the All 22? How the fuck do you judge and grade secondary play when you don’t have the All 22?!?!?
save the money as last I saw was Panthers by 1.5Browns a 3.5 pt favorite week 1 at Carolina? I may fly to Vegas if that number doesn’t change.
Then that’s new. For years the NFL has refused to share the All 22 with them. The only outlet that had access to the All 22 game films was NFL Films. Thanks for the heads up.PFF Player Grades
The PFF philosophy, our process and how to interpret PFF Player Grades.www.pff.com
WHO IS DOING THE GRADING?
PFF employs over 600 full or part-time analysts, but less than 10% of analysts are trained to the level that they can grade plays. Only the top two to three percent of analysts are on the team of “senior analysts” in charge of finalizing each grade after review. Our graders have been training for months, and sometimes years, in order to learn, understand and show mastery of our process that includes our 300-page training manual and video playbook. We have analysts from all walks of life, including former players, coaches and scouts. We don’t care if you played.
Each grade is reviewed at least once, and usually multiple times, using every camera angle available, including All-22 coaches’ tape.
What's bad for Rivers is he's on the wrong side of history.Ben
Eli
Rivers
Championships matter for me
If you only go by the numbers obviously PR had better the better career.I'd go Ben, Rivers, Eli....though I get switching the last 2 because of the titles.
Plus River's numbers were inflated by the fact that the Chargers were playing in a VERY weak AFC West at the time...What's bad for Rivers is he's on the wrong side of history.
He holds the record for most playoff starts by a QB without a S.B. trip.
That's a bad thing for a QB to have on his resume.
I agree with you.
BigBen, Eli, Rivers
It's gonna be funny to see people's reaction when Eli gets in the HOF.Plus River's numbers were inflated by the fact that the Chargers were playing in a VERY weak AFC West at the time...
I just think his numbers as well as overall winning % are just too much better to ignore, but I get it.If you only go by the numbers obviously PR had better the better career.
But his record of most starts by a QB w/o a S.B. trip is the difference for me.
Had PR made it to one S.B. my ranking would be different.
Not sure about the game you're talking about but I can see that happening.I just think his numbers as well as overall winning % are just too much better to ignore, but I get it.
QB extremely important, of course, but need the teammates to get to the SB. Might be wrong but thought there was a game where they had it won in the playoffs and the D made some bonehead play to blow it?
I check in from time to time. But since I'm a Knick fan I rarely have much to talk aboutA rare Cyder sighting in the NBA forum....
nice....PFF Player Grades

His dynamic with Sugar was gold...lolYeah, I don't know as that Job was my favorite character, but he's top 3 for sure. That show had so many wild characters. And yes, they handled it perfectly. It was a big part of the character, but it wasn't just wedged in there like "we have to have a gay character". The way they handled it enabled him to have some awesome lines that wouldn't work for anyone else on the show.
