Looks like he'll be the main man there for a minute...
Browns 2.0 are all about the running game the past few years anyway. They’re well versed in trying to bleed adequate QB play out of marginal talent.

No need.....it's not going to be more than a year, probably won't be that.

I could see Goodell and Watson's camp trying to negotiate something to get this done. Maybe they settle on 12 games and a 10 million fine like the Tweet I posted?

Watson doesn't want to play this season and sit out next season.....that's when the 46 million kicks in.
46 mil, huh? Lol yeah, that's a helluva lot of cheese and lettuce he'd be leaving on the table...

He'd be okay for 4-6 games but if he has to play 10 or more games in the stacked AFC?

Yikes.....no playoffs and they are an injury away from throwing out Rosen or Dobbs.....let that sink in for a moment.

Sure, but Watson makes peanuts this coming season compared to the following where he starts that 46 mill. That could be in danger if he misses the entire season or even the 12 games Goodell wants. Watson would be smart to take 12 this coming season if that is what Goodell wants. And he can move on with his career and that new contract he signed.
Problem is, from public perception, it seems like the NFL is aiming (still) for an indefinite suspension. If that's the case, it's nebulous as to what the duration is. And I'm not exactly sympathetic to Watson here, but that's not fair to him nor the Browns in this case. Do we have a link where Goodell says he wants just 12 weeks?

Either way I don’t see it more than 12. I see an extra 2-4 games honestly, bump up the fine and treatment. This is more about the NFL looking like they are doing something to appease the public. They don’t have much leverage and the last thing both sides want is court. Get this over with and move on.

I agree they should cut a deal, but I think the NFL has all the leverage at this point.

If he wanted 12 why didn’t he just suspend him for 12 without appointing Judge Robinson. A lot of things don’t make sense about how the NFL has gone about this. Then before Sue makes her decision, they propose 12 games and significant fine to Watson. I see and extra 2-4 games. If it’s 12 this has just been a huge circle jerk. The NFL has to put those reports out there they are “trying” for something significant to save the little image they still have. Long past that imo

Well, in the report Robinson said that the NFL proved that Watson was in violation of the code of conduct.
she said many things...also said the NFL should not impose punishment based on public pressure and shouldn't make it up as they go when it comes to punishment.

If they had all the leveragr they would give Watson a year. If they do that they are going to court, therefore, they don’t have all the leverage

I think the league looks kinda foolish going against the decision of the person they hired to take of matters like this.

Seems that hiring her was just a big waste of time.

Correct. The franchise of Jim Brown and Paul Brown now resides in Baltimore.
when you look up the statistics that is not the case. name/colors/statistics stayed as part of the deal. Baltimore has no ties at all anymore with Ozzie retired now.

how Art Modell went broke owning an NFL team is jsut beyond me. lol.
