Agreed. But I think the path Wiggy laid out earlier in this thread is quite possible where Watson plays the whole season if this goes to court, similar to Brady. @trojanfan12 mentioned it earlier in this thread, but Goodell isn't exactly forward thinking on this. This is going to bring more light to the NFL related to sexual harassment/assault and Goodell's history of lax punitive action on his part.
Sure, but Watson makes peanuts this coming season compared to the following where he starts that 46 mill. That could be in danger if he misses the entire season or even the 12 games Goodell wants. Watson would be smart to take 12 this coming season if that is what Goodell wants. And he can move on with his career and that new contract he signed.

Like I said in the NFL thread, imo he definitely shoulda just owned it and accepted the original punishment. Now even the possibility of an indefinite suspension is looming, though IMHO that probably won't happen...
It definitely won't.....but he DESERVES the Bauer treatment.

He should have been further out ahead of this and tried to negotiate a suspension while he was set to sit out last year in Houston. Now the Cleveland Browns 2.0 will suffer.

True. Wondering how the organization is gonna handle this. Can they void his contract...?

It would depend on the contract language but more importantly if they really want to. The Expansion Browns have never had a top end QB before. If anyone can survive a lost season it’s Cleveland sports fans. That just makes it a day that ends in Y.

No need.....it's not going to be more than a year, probably won't be that.

I could see Goodell and Watson's camp trying to negotiate something to get this done. Maybe they settle on 12 games and a 10 million fine like the Tweet I posted?

Watson doesn't want to play this season and sit out next season.....that's when the 46 million kicks in.
