Teryl Austin is making this D look better than it is. Going to suck big time if we lose him to another team this offseason. He is by far the best coach on the roster.

This game does make a difference... one more win by the Lions and they're locked in for a playoff spot. The best the Redskins or the Buccaneers can do is a 9 win season. Laying it all on the line next week for the Division and/or playoff spot sounds more like the Lions speed with pissing it all away.

This could be why I stated "they need the win to make the Redskin game meaningless"

A playoff spot means nothing to me for the security of Caldwell's job. 2 game lead with 3 to go and you lose the division. Just another sign he's a middle of the road coach.

I do. I'm trying to get some real talk going here, not looking for one liners. Harbaugh isn't leaving MI. If Caldwell is canned, 90% chance McD or Patty is our next HC. You poo on that. So seriously, what other realistic candidates do you like? Jr Shanny? Mike Smith? Coughlin? Fisher? Rex? None sound too good to me.

Now if the Lions win the North, Caldwell will be here for a few more years. I guess that means some unnamed Lions fans will be cheering for the Packers next week.

I can't do that for the Pack. Caldwell will finally beat a winning team if they win next week. I still won't like him being retained, but at least he won a meaningful game.
